🎸Seattle, you rock!🎸 We had the best time visiting with family for the long weekend. Happy Canadian Thanksgiving y’all!!!🍁 My kids always impress me with how well they travel. We met up with their cousins who they only get to see in person once a year, and they are instantly besties again. Thank god for #facetime !! We also visited #thegreatwolflodge in Washington state which was incredibly fun. (I’ll be posting separately about this!) but in Seattle, we visited Pike Place Market, the Great Wheel, the original Starbucks, and more. Tuesday Tips! I just had to share one of my favorite gadgets on the left, a mango slicer. This thing is really incredible! Don’t know about you but I can never seem to cut into the center of a mango correctly using a regular knife. It takes way too long, I wind up with more of the pit than mango, and it gets super messy. With this you just place the mango vertically on the yellow base, then slice through it with the blade. You wind up with two perfect mango halves. Easy peasy! Mango is one of my favorite fruits because it’s so versatile. You can add it to smoothies, yogurt, salads, salsa or as a topping for pork, chicken or fish. It also packs a punch nutritionally. One cup provides 100% of your daily vitamin C, 35% of your daily vitamin A, and 12% of your daily fiber. Mango is also an excellent source of folate and a good source of copper. Last week of our program and we focused on hinging movements. Movements like this are super important in late pregnancy as well in early postpartum. During pregnancy we tend to have an anterior tilted pelvis to compensate for the weight of the baby so our glutes and hamstrings tend to be under recruited!
