Fun fact about me: I’m a strong believer that bread or toast of any kind is simply a vessel for an unnecessary amount of toppings 🍽🙌🏻🍞🥜. A hangrier version of myself started off the weekend right after my workout with 2 THICK slices of my paleo, gluten free, pumpkin loaf, layered with @foragerproject plain cashew yogurt, @crazyrichardspb powdered pb, cacao nibs, coconut and some thawed frozen blueberries 💃. . Double Chocolate Chewy Cookies. It took 8 experiments to get these cookies correct and I think I’ve gotten them to a point where I’m ready to share the recipe 😎 @themealprepmanual www.mealprepmanual.com . . It took me a while to get this one right. I tried a bunch of different things. Coconut flour. Rice flour. Baking flour. Butter. No butter. Egg white only. Whole egg. No cocoa powder. Yes cocoa powder. 8 minutes at 350F. 8 minutes at 375f. 12 minutes at 350F. The whole recipe is only like 650 calories 😎😎 . . WET INGREDIENTS 150g white kidney beans 45g applesauce 10g stevia 1 tsp vanilla 1 egg DRY INGREDIENTS 75g GF baking flour 10g cocoa powder 1/2 tsp baking soda Pinch of salt 28g Mini Chocolate Chips . . PREP 1. Preheat oven to 350F 2. Drain the beans and rinse. Dry as well as possible. Use a food processor or a tool to mash the beans into a paste. 3. In a large bowl, mix the beans, apple sauce, egg, stevia, vanilla, and egg. 4. In a different bowl mix the dry ingredients. 5. Slowly add the dry ingredients and half the chocolate chips to the wet and mix to incorporate. 6. Spray a baking sheet with oil. Use a small cookie scoop to create little balls of dough. Press into shape and top with remaining chips. 7. Bake at 350F for 8-9 minutes. . . Questions you may have that some of you will still ask because you didn’t read the caption: . ❓Can i use a different flour? Probably regular flour. Don’t use coconut flour or almond flour. . ❓What can I substitute the applesauce for? Nothing. Leave it in. . ❓What can I use instead of beans, I don’t have any? Go to the store and buy some. That’s the main ingredient. . ❓Can I use regular sugar? Yes, obviously. Just add more. . ❓Vanilla extract or vanilla powder? Extract. . ❓can I use regular chocolate chips? (🇮🇹👇) One of my favorite meals of all times: falafels! 🤩 Delicious little legumes balls filled with yummy spices and a crunchy crust! I’ve made so many different version during the years and these are one of my favorites! Chickpea and Broccoli, an odd combination that works incredibly well! Ingredients: •250g cooked chickpeas drained,rinsed and pat dry •2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil •1 tbsp tahini •1/2 cup broccoli florets •juice 1 lemon •1 tsp salt • 1 tbsp chickpea flour •1/2 tsp black pepper •1 tsp smoked paprika • 1/2 tsp curry powder • 1/3 tsp cumin • 1/3 tsp turmeric • 1 garlic clove sautéed For the coating: •1/2 cup breadcrumbs •2 tbsp hemp seeds •1/2 tsp smoked paprika •1/3 tsp salt Mix all the ingredients in a food processor. Let it sit in the fridge for an hour. Roll into balls, coat with the breadcrumbs mixture and bake in a lined baking tray at 200C for 20 minutes or until golden brown on top. These are perfect with a creamy dipping sauce and some veggies 🤗 • 🇮🇹 Una delle mie ricette preferite di tutti i tempi: falafel! Lately, I have seen a lot of people worrying much about what the number are the scale says. - Remember, the number on the scale doesn’t determine if you are making progress on your fitness goals or not. It is simply your gravitational pull towards earth. - If you weigh yourself every day, you will see plenty of fluctuations to your weight. These fluctuations can be caused by many different reasons. - Your weight loss from day to day isn’t a direct result to fat loss or gain. - It could be you had too much sodium, drank more/less water the previous day, ate a little later at night, or a variety of different reasons. - So for those of you who get in a bad mental state worrying too much about what the scale is going to say, try to start focusing on some non-scale victories. - There are many other benefits to eating better and being more active than just stepping on a scale. - You might have more energy now, sleeping better, doing more while working out, being happier, and so much more. - Your health IS NOT DIRECTLY PROPORTIONATE TO THE NUMBER ON THE SCALE - With that being said, I have two challenges for you. You can choose which one you prefer to do. - 1. If you are someone who relies too much on stepping on the scale everyday, your challenge is to not step on a scale for a whole month. So instead of focusing on the number on the scale, I want you too focus on the non-scale victories you will be achieving over the next month. 2. The second challenge is to weigh yourself every morning when you wake up. This is just to show you that your weight does fluctuate, but that it doesn’t mean you gaining fat. This challenge was inspired by @syattfitness and his #justanothermuggle challenge. See his instagram page and his youtube challenge for more details on this challenge. - Have a great weekend and stop stressing over the scale. I have seen a lot of people in my gym and even some of my clients focusing too much on the scale and neglecting to see all the non-scale progress they are achieving. - TRAIN HARD, TRAIN WILD, and BE HAPPY! 🐺
