Does your story inspire❤ hope? Does it make a difference? ❤❇ . . I recently met someone that recognized me from Instagram. She told me that she had been looking for weightloss motivation because she had gotten off track and felt discouraged with her progress. She was searching for motivation and ran across my account and was inspired by my story and had been following me for a few months. ❤❇ . . This made me think. My struggle has sometimes been a source of pain for me but yet here it was a source of hope for someone else. To be honest everytime I post something highly personal that self-sabatoging voice of doubt starts to creep up. I have really come a long way physically and emotionally/mentally. Sometimes though those thoughts start to creep up. It takes conscious effort to move past those negative thoughts and emotions. It's something I work on everyday. ❤❇ . . My purpose for having a public profile and posting content that is deeply personal has been to connect with others. I'll admit that it has been a bit of a selfish endeavor because I have been looking for personal growth. I know that in order to be a stronger person I had to make uncomfortable choices. I wasn't sure if sharing my story would make a difference in myself or to others. Today I felt validated. It motivates me to keep going ahead. This is my trail mix. I eat about 1/4 cup nearly every day. I have almonds, pecans and walnuts in there, then every once in a while, I’ll throw in a mix that has little pieces of chocolate, or some sunflower and pumpkin seeds. It works out to about 200cals/serving, A bit steep for a snack, but its filling and nuts have wonderful vitamins for your muscles and brain! It’s crunchy, it’s delicious, and sometimes exactly what I need when the snack monster hits mid afternoon. #whatsyoursnack #healthyfood #healthyjourney #weightlossjourney

There's something about this time of year that has me feeling a tad bit overwhelmed by all.the.things. Extra errands, extra to-dos, extra everything. Honestly, it's pretty easy to slip into the trap of running, running, running; thinking more about what's next, instead of what's right now. So here's my little challenge for this week, for myself, and for you, too, if you need it. Resist the running. Find a pause. Lean into the realist, not a perfectionist. Let the little be big. Sit down for 3 minutes with a cup of tea. Breathe in, breathe out. Not what's next, just what's now. Park your car, take the keys out of the ignition. Breathe in, breathe out. Not what's next, just what's now. A little more presence, minus the perfect. Sending you a deep breath in the middle of it all. #gentleisthenewperfect

Happy Tuesday!!! 😃 Today I went back to the program that I started this journey with 4 years ago that helped me learn to love fitness, lose weight and get healthier. AND it’s only 25 minutes a day!!!! So there are NO 🚫 excuses to start! You can do these workouts ANYwhere and everybody has an extra 25 minutes a day to work on themselves. So let’s do this together!!! Don’t wait till the New Year... start now and you’ll already be feeling better by Jan 1st! ☺️

Went down after ~4700 calories. I am done with the incessant need to set timelines and "prove" myself. I still have the same goals. But I am surrendering the need for control and moving forward while fully enjoying the process . So I am starting at 3000 Weekly Caloric Average - 1200 Calories Or Cardio weekly. I will adjust from there. Sometimes we get stubborn. But truth is the advice I'd give anyone in my position that went through what I did ( years and years of trying very very hard approaches and constantly crashing ).. Crawl before you walk, walk before you jog, jog before you run.. etc. The truth is I felt a bit guilty for not doing it in "that" way. But that's just a limiting belief. And mannn is it limiting. It kept me in this position for years. So Slowly and surely I will move forward. I feel good, relaxed and ready to focus on my workouts and improving while getting leaner.

I have this sign on my mantel right now as a gentle reminder. I’ve been trying to focus on gratitude and thankfulness this past year. For a while I was falling down the negativity rabbit hole and I noticed the effect it was starting to have on those around me. 😔 It was time to break the pattern of negativity and remember that while some things don’t go the way I want, there is so much that does. Like, I woke up this morning and there is coffee in the house, and for that, I’m thankful! 😉 Seriously though, I’ve noticed my mood has improved and I feel better in general...more like myself! There are studies that back this up. Being thankful and having gratitude improves your psychological and physical health, improves self esteem and is reported to help you sleep better. If I wasn’t already practicing gratitude these reason would get me started right away! Tell me below, what’s something you are thankful for today?

It's easy to coast between the holidays and slack off because it's busy. Or, tell yourself you'll start after New Years and give yourself a pass to overindulge.
