this week has felt extra hard. - I cheated on my diet a little bit earlier this week and woke up 3lbs heavier than i was the day before. I’m trying not to focus on the scale but it feels demoralizing to have a bit of fruit and gain 3lbs when i’ve been busting my ASS trying to get lighter and leaner. I’m also just feeling generally burnt out and stressed, but that’s nothing a good nights sleep can’t fix. - On a POSITIVE note, someone at my gym told me my back looks all defined and good and that made the cardio after my lift bearable. - next week WILL. BE. BETTER.

It's not about "having" time. It's about "making" time. I know everyone has a busy schedules. I definitely do, I'm typically up at 5am and if I'm lucky in bed by 11pm every day, I'm hardly ever home, but I am still making time for the things that are important to me and make me happy. I would struggle with finding time for myself because I was always caught up about making sure everything else was done for doing something for myself. I found that it's okay if dinner isn't on the table right when your husband gets home, its okay if the laundry isn't put away right when it comes out of the dryer, its okay if the dishes sit in the sink for an extra day. . Going to the gym is something I have decided to make sure I make time for every day because not only does it make me feel better health-wise but it also gives me the strength to get through tough things, it can turn a horrible day into one of my best days! . What are the important things you're making time for?

One year ago. One whole ass year. . . One year ago I was in the midst of intensive physical for my lower back. One year ago I was eating anything and everything. One year ago I was devastated because I couldn’t compete in lifting competitions I was preparing for, I couldn’t lift the heavy weights, nor could I move or workout the way I wanted and was used to. . . Fast forward one year with the help of family, friends and most importantly @dyonsanti_ I am sitting at the lowest weight I’ve been at since my JUNIOR year of HIGHSCHOOL. I’m always posting about the progress in my lower body, until finally today I seen the difference in my face. Yeah this past week hasn’t been easy getting my ass in the gym, but seeing this just kicked in a whole new gear. . .
