Remember your why. I always try to inspire people and motivate them, I love helping others reaching their goals, but today I had a breakdown. I couldn’t see any progress in myself, my weight is not going down, and I just couldn’t keep my sh*t together. I was working out this morning, when I started crying. Well, in that moment, I knew I forgot my WHY. We all have it, and it may change through the years. I actually think my why changed a lot since the beginning of my fitness journey. I started because I wanted to look good and lose fat, but it has become much more than just that. But today, when I started crying, I found myself asking “WHY am I even doing that? Why did I wake up at 6am to go to the gym? Why am I starving so much? Why don’t I just give up and do like 99% of the girls out there? They seem having a better time” I was forgetting my why, and I had to step back and watch the bigger picture for a second. As soon as I asked myself WHY, I realized that this truly is what I want to do. WHY? Because I love seeing my body changing according to what I do, to how I treat it. I love working out, even at 7am, because I love the endorphins it gives me. I love feeling my muscles connected to my brain. But this is not my only why. I do this because I am the kind of person that has a vision and does everything to get there. Because I have always wanted to be the best at everything: school, games, competitions. I fell in love with this sport because beating others is fun, but the toughest challenge is beating yourself. Today I was about to lose, but I fought back and I won. I won this battle, and I’m gonna start from here. It is ok to have breakdowns, it is ok to ask yourself why. Just breathe, answer the question, and start from there. This clip is right after when I found my WHY again. I’m still working on my back, but I hope someday I will be able to grow these wings and fly up there, where I know I’m meant to be. 2015 👉🏼 2018 . I wasn’t born with an ‘hourglass’ shape, and by no means do I think I have the ‘dream body’ now, but I sure am happy to be where I am considering where I came from. . I am not on this journey to prove anything to anyone else but me. To prove to my old self that yes, you are worth it. To prove that yes, you can do it. To prove that I am more than my body and more than my weight. To prove that what I weigh doesn’t define who I am, Because for so long I let it. . I didn’t have self awareness. I didn’t know who I was. I was the “fat girl”. The girl who had to be loud and obnoxious just to get some attention. The girl who tried so hard to fit in, only to push herself even further away from where she wanted to be. Do you know how difficult it is to find out who you are when you’re 230lbs at 10 years old? . I was mean. I was loud. I was obnoxious. I tried to get attention in these ways, because it was the only way I knew how. Because who would want to give attention to the fat girl? At least that is what I thought. From an age SO young, I let my weight define me. . But not anymore. Now I am more than my body, And yes, I know this seems hypocritical as I am posting a picture of my body, but bare with me. I allow myself to be defined not by my weight, but what I am capable of doing. I am strong. I am intelligent. I am thoughtful. I am just a little bit dramatic. I am driven, and passionate, and I work hard to get what I want, to PROVE to myself that I CAN do anything I set my mind to. . I am not doing this for anyone but myself. I live this lifestyle because it makes me happy, because it makes me feel strong, and because it allowed me to realize who I really am. I finally feel free from the chains of how much I weigh, and what my body looks like. I am free because I chose to define myself through what my body can DO, rather than how my body LOOKS. I am free, and I am doing this for me. 💛🌻💫

44 days out📍NPC Women’s Figure debut November 10th, 2018💣 I have a lot more room for improvement when it comes to posing, that’s why I carry my posing shoes with me everywhere and practice as often as I can. I am currently focusing on smiling with my teeth out while I hold my poses, which feels mad awkward since I don’t usually smile like that 🙄 I am also working on making my transition from pose to pose as smooth as possible. I used to LOVE #deadlifts, but after my #sijoint injury, they became so painful (just like back squats, even once I was healed). My SI joint still gives me trouble, but I’ve been working diligently to try to build back up my deadlift strength. And I did PR my deadlift last week at more than 2 1/2# bodyweight! 4 years ago, as you will see on the left, that was my one rep max that I lifted (albeit ugly) Today during the #wod, I did 15 pounds less than that weight, and I did it 45 times. I could have done as many reps as was asked with little issue. With that being said, note the difference in speed between round 1, in the middle, and round 3 on the right😂 Today was my element! This is a pretty common meal before bodybuilding competitions. Yup!!!
