It’s #nationalparentsday 💖 so a shoutout to my beautiful mom, that has been kicking ass at the gym for the past month! . We started a training program aimed at increasing endurance & strength 💥 . She’s been a swimmer since childhood, and has surely always lived a healthy life. But she has already been seeing performance improvements when swimming , thanks to fitness training 👏🏼🤗💥! . Her goal is NOT hypertrophy, so we train 2 times a week, in a circuit fashion way with low loads, high reps and little to no rest. 👌🏼 . 👉🏼 What I’ve learned by training her is that you must always listen to your clients, understand THEIR goals which not necessarily are the same as yours. . . #fitfam #fitnessmotivation #fitnesstrainer #motheranddaughter

—Set Goals + Crush Em!— • Flex in a dress! Still a thing right?? If you guys have been following my stories (I just posted very recently), my husband and I are starting what we used to do: one cheat day/meal a week! We used to do it and LOVED doing it, it became so easy to do the longer we did it but once I became pregnant with my youngest, it all just went down the drain where I just wanted to eat whatever BUT I still had some control over what I ate. Unfortunately, recently, with my eating habits, I’ve been treating myself WAAAAY too much. Days I don’t prep food (like 5 days out of the 7 a week 😅) ... Step 1)Sip beer. Step 2)chop big ol salad and scarf that down so I don’t accidentally eat half a loaf of bread Step 3) Try to find some type of protein and make something delicious. Today I opted out of creativity and bought pre-crusted tilapia (if you knew how many styles of protein I bread on a weekly basis you’d skip some steps too 😅) And ok ok, no I don’t drink beer 5 days a week. I workout every other night currently, and on the days I don’t, I try to not drink more than a couple nights a week. It works for me ☺️ also, Salad Game Changer: banana peppers and crispy onions. Try it! (Stole this hack from Ashley Que on YouTube) Mmmm 😋

On my conditioning days I dropset almost all workouts for that day to tire myself out. Love incorporating dropsets into my workouts and also my clients programs as well. I dropset until failure but you don’t have to. You can set a certain amount of reps you want to target. I dropset between 30-50% the weight I first started.
