15 week out check in/progress! Down a total of 6.6 lbs ... down 3 inches in my hips and down 2.5 in my waist. It is hard to post pics when you arenโ€™t at your best, but Iโ€™ve always promised to keep this journey real ... to keep it raw ... and not sugar coat any of it! My water was on point this week getting my minimum 4L a day! The inflammation I was dealing with is slowly going down now that Iโ€™m not eating trigger foods! Weight usually drops pretty quick at the start when I go all in, but will slow down! Iโ€™m more going by measurements this show, as that scale is just 1 small measure of the journey! Round 1 done! I might look more athletic here than Iโ€™m actually feeling. Recent issues have meant I havenโ€™t been able to keep up my usual mileage and sessions for the last 3 months and Iโ€™m only getting back to it now. Todayโ€™s ParkRun was a test, and Iโ€™ve gone from 22:30 minutes to 25:54. I was happy enough hitting around 25 minutes as it has been a summer of barely running, but itโ€™s still hard to watch others who were around you fly ahead. I usually aim for the win, and now Iโ€™m starting back in the middle. But Iโ€™m excited to hit all of the targets and milestones again as you get such a sense of achievement from hitting new times and distances and I get the opportunity to feel that all over again. The marathon is no longer an option for me this year but Iโ€™ll get back to it and be stronger and faster than before ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป no matter where youโ€™re starting from, just start. FAMSQUAD. Usually when my sister comes to visit I head to the gym by myself, but my nephew has been dying to workout with me (hearing about my spartan run), and I was you know what? Letโ€™s go for a run! We did 2 miles. He did great at keeping pace. I feel so good showing our younger generation about whatโ€™s so good for our bodies. My sister hasnโ€™t really gotten to workout much because of being the BOSS mama she is, but she did amazing and kept pace the whole time, also. Iโ€™m just so happy we got to do this, and I got to share my love for fitness.
