Tried a NEW studio on @classpass 🎀 Ballerina Body at @everydayballetfitness was different from any workout that I’ve done- the studio was what you’d picture a classic NYC ballet studio to be, in a white room with large windows, high ceilings & on the 5th floor of a walk up. The instructor had us practice classic beginners ballet moves & it made me more aware of how much I need to work on improving my flexibility & hip alignment. She played classical music & even though the moves were challenging (in a non-sweaty, shakey way), I left feeling v relaxed. It was almost therapeutic! Sweat level: 1/10 Would definitely go back to improve my posture & flexibility!

how to calculate your energy intake (calories!!) 🍌🥝🥞🍳🥦🍔⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ calories are a tricky one to chat about but I do feel like its an important thing in helping you reach your goals - please ❗️❗️ remember, calories are not the enemy, food is ur friend, you gotta eat to grow, blah blah I could go on 🤗 eating next to nothing will only make you feel tired & lethargic ❗️❗️however it is important for weight loss, weight gain, weight maintenance, that you are *wise* when it comes to what your eating ☺️⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ you don’t need to stick to your intake to the exact calorie, this is just a round about estimate that you can use! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Step 1: calculate your BMR (basal metabolic rate)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Women: weight in KG x 22⁣⁣ Men: weight in KG x 24 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Step 2: work out your physical activity level (PAL)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Sedentary: 1.2⁣⁣ Fairly active (walking + exercise 1-2 times per week): 1.3⁣⁣ Moderately active (exercise 2-3 weekly): 1.4⁣⁣ Active (exercise hard more than 3x weekly): 1.5⁣⁣ Very active (exercise HARD daily) 1.7⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Step 3:⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ BMR multiplied (x) PAL = DAILY CALORIE NEEDS FOR WEIGHT MAINTENANCE ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ For example (a person female weighing 70 kg, who is moderately active) = ⁣⁣ (BMR) 70 X 22 = 1540kcal ⁣⁣ (BMR X PAL) 1540 X 1.4 = 2156kcal (maintenance calories) ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ For weight loss = aim to reduce calorie intake by 10-20% (slow and steady wins the race!) e.g. 2156 x 0.85 (15%) = 1832kcal per day. ⁣⁣ For weight gain = increase calories by 20% e.g. 2156 x 1.2 (120%) = 2587kcal. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ hope this is helpful ❤️ I know it’s something I really struggled with when starting out! you can’t base your diet on what someone else is eating, we are all different! 🤗

Meine letzte Wettkampfsaison ist nun fast auf den Tag genau drei Monate vorbei und es steht in ca. drei Monaten - je nach Form - schon die nächste Saison an, aber auf internationalem Niveau. #ProcardChaser 🗡 . Meine aktuelle Form bei einem Gewicht zwischen 107,5 und 111kg ist wesentlich besser als letztes Jahr, was für mich bedeutet, dass ich in der restlichen Aufbauphase wirklich auf einen absolut qualitativen Aufbau setzen kann. 🙏🏻 . Im November werde ich auf jeden Fall das „Heimspiel“ in Frankfurt bestreiten und zwei bis drei Wettkämpfe drumherum bestreiten... mal sehen. Coming up to the end of week 5 of my 12 week program and sitting at just under 11 stone. Wasn’t able to make it into the gym Monday and Tuesday because of the car getting fixed🙄 but I made it in last night and I’m making steady progress on my lifts!

After a busy day of work yesterday which meant I didn’t finish until 10pm I’m determined to make some time to get myself to the gym this evening just to get myself moving and keep me sane 😂 I’m planning a leg workout after work so I’m starting my day with a bowl of oats to make sure I’ll have plenty of energy! After not having oats for absolutely months I had them the other day and now I can’t stop thinking about my breakfast each day 🙈
