Link in my story 💗 Comment your favorite form of cardio down below👇🏻🚴🏻‍♀️ . Without spoiling the answer, I’ll tell you this much: I DETEST cardio. At least traditional cardio like running, rowing, etc. It’s boring and monotonous and I hate it 😂 I remember back when I thought cardio was my ONLY option to lose/maintain weight. I didn’t even realize that there were so many other forms of activity I could be doing from lifting to yoga 🏋🏻‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️. I would drag myself to the gym because it was something I knew I should do, not because I had any shred of desire to go. And I would hop on the elliptical, pull up the most recent videos from my favorite vloggers, and push myself really hard for an hour. I would finish my gym session feeling decent from the exercise but not feeling any sort of accomplishment or achievement or excitement. I was just thankful to be done for the day and return to sitting at my desk. . Before I discovered lifting, exercise always felt like an obligation. But after discovering a fork of activity that I loved and that made me feel strong and left me feeling accomplished, my relationship with exercise completely changed. Now, I WANT to go to the gym. I’m sad on days I can’t make it. It is something I look forward to and enjoy planning ahead for. And thanks to finding this love for exercise, I’m more fit and healthy than ever. . Moral of the story: find an activity that you love. If you hate what you’re doing at the gym right now, stop. Do something else. While I would argue that for optimal health everyone should be lifting, if you hate it and the idea of going to the gym to lift makes you not want to go at all and results in you skipping your workouts all the time, find something else. Being active is always better than being inactive no matter what exercise you’re doing 🙌🏻

Over the month of November, I let stress and a busier schedule get to me and I put on a little bit of extra body fat. ⁣ ⁣ Nothing crazy. My clothes still fit and it’s not necessarily something that’s noticeable to other people, but it is noticeable to me. ⁣ ⁣ In the past I would have let this really get to me, and it would have spiraled me out of control.⁣ ⁣ This was ALWAYS my old pattern:⁣ ➡️getting and staying on track for awhile, making progress 💪🏼⁣ ➡️slightly falling off track, feeling guilty and letting it happen more and more 😅⁣ ➡️noticing some weight gain 😬⁣ ➡️feeling extremely gross, upset and frantic about it 😖⁣ ➡️letting the stress about it get to me, eat TERRIBLE for months on end😫⁣ ➡️quickly gain weight 😳⁣ ➡️eventually get my shit together and start losing the weight again 🏃🏼‍♀️⁣ 🔁repeat cycle over and over for years🔁⁣ ⁣ What did I do to STOP this cycle?⁣ ⁣ 1️⃣Forgive myself and not obsess over the weight gain. ⁣ In the past I would be looking in the mirror every morning, poking at my love handles and feeling an anxious, sinking feeling in my stomach. I’d feel trapped in my own body. Now I be nicer to myself. I don’t look at myself every single day wondering where my results are. I focus on FEELING GOOD! Shifting your focus like this makes a difference. ⁣ ⁣ 2️⃣Eat in a SLIGHT deficit.⁣ KEY WORD‼️SLIGHT‼️. If I’ve been struggling to stay on track, why the hell would I made it harder for myself by eating even less. Get back into the swing of things, don’t jump into a massive deficit. Extreme approaches result in extreme disappointment! ⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣Make some creative, yummy meals ⁣ that I know are going to satisfy me AND fuel me to lift some heavy ass weight in the gym! Not only does the heavy weight burn cals, but it gives me confidence. It makes me stop worrying about how my body looks cause I’m too busy trying to be strong. This naturally puts me in a proper mindset to FUEL my body better, which then makes me LOOK better. MY PEACH IS GROWING 🙌🏻 • Finally, I am seeing some growth and I’m STOKED about it!! Lifting/eating more than I ever have in my life and it feels AMAZING!✨ • Just a little background for ya... I was not blessed in the booty department. I was literally flat as a board. So much that my friends in junior high and high school made fun of me all the time. • I was so insecure about it. They would joke that I needed to wear butt pads to make it look like I had a least a hint of a butt. It killed my self-esteem. • So, if you are like me and also not blessed with a big booty. There’s hope for us! When we think “I’m thirsty” you’re already dehydrated!!!😱 . Depending on your size, weight and activity level will determine how much water you should have. In general we should be drinking .5oz-1oz of water, for every pound we weigh. . Water effects EVERYTHING! - Increases braid power & gives us energy - Flushes our toxins - which improves your complexion & weight management - Boosts your immune system. . To make sure I get all those amazing benefits from water. I try and drink at least a glass before bed and right when I wake up, if not 2 glasses!! . A little bit of a different transformation this Tuesday 👀 . Left picture was my past prep- at 4 weeks out from Amateur Olympia Right picture was this past week- 25 weeks out from Toronto Pro qualifier this coming June 😅 Proof right here that the body likes food, and lots of it lol. My cardio is low and my food is high and yet, I’m almost leaner than I was at 4 weeks out. Why? 30 weeks straight of dieting- my body definitely did not like that, and fought me to the bitter end before it finally let me drop weight. Looking at this comparison I know I’m no where near where I need to be, but I’m super excited for the 2019 competition szn! I’ve got tons of time & tons of work to put in, but I’m ready. Volevo concludere quest’anno agonistico spendendo qualche parola in merito. Domenica all’hercules olimpia è stato un vero onore arrivare quarta dietro a super campionesse internazionali, ai miei occhi una vittoria.. grazie al mio super coach Sandro, abbiamo rivoluzionato il mio corpo in un solo anno (non ci credevamo nemmeno noi!?) In questo periodo un anno fa ero in chiaro sovrappeso e ammiravo le ragazze in gara da un schermo.. Sapermi su quel palco è stata una grande rivincita a prescindere da tutto e ancor di più mi ha sbalordita affrontare la preparazione di mesi con serenità e grinta e tanta dedizione.. Mesi di gioie, stanchezze, fame, passione e soddisfazioni immense! At the Doctors office with Acute Gastritis ☹️ I’ve suffered with this off an on. It’s such a hard thing to have when your stomach can get irritated by things you love. Spicy foods, alcohol, caffeine, sugars😞 Gastritis makes your stomach bloated and causes pain In the top part of your stomach. At lot of it has to do with Acid Reflux. I’ve dealt with it since high school and it had gone away a while but recently with stress and changes in diets it’s been triggered. It’s hard because my gastritis can cause for me too feel like I’m failing when I’m trying to loose weight since at random I can get triggered and bloated for days. ☹️ time to make major diet changes 😞😞 #bornworthy #28dayjumpstart

🚨 TRANSFORMATION TIME 🚨 the left picture is right at the beginning of college and the one in the right is at the end of college (my graduation is tomorrow WOOP WOOP 🙌🏼) I want people to know that those standards set by society do not have to apply to you. You do NOT need to gain those “freshman 15” or be a typical “broke college student”. I actually did gain weight but that’s because I WANTED to. I was actually 113 lbs in the left picture and I am now sitting at a range of 125-130 lbs. I am proud of how far I’ve come so far and I’m so excited about the knowledge I now have. My degree will not only help me help others but it’ll be pivotal in reaching the body and life I want to achieve 💪🏼

OMG GUYSSS ITS BEEN A GOOD FREAKING MINUTE SINCE WE’ VE TALKED 😭😭😭 _ Wow has life been a freaking roller coaster lately! I just finished my first quarter at University and while I’m disappointed in myself, I learned sooo much from this season. _ Something that has REALLY stuck out to me as a learning and growing encounter is this: There is a season for everything. Time and time again I reflect back and I can see clearly that almost everything has come in “seasons.” Seasons for an abundance of happiness, seasons for pain, seasons for mourning, seasons for success, seasons for failure. And through all these seasons we go through we come out just a little bit different then the person we were going in. _ Working from the ground up I know just how hard it is to always be fluctuating from a state of steadiness to a state of abstract messiness that is, at times, uncontrollable. _ As I told you guys before, this quarter life has thrown many curve balls at me. From literally out of nowhere. For me, I always have a plan and prioritize to get my stuff done in a fair matter of time. I’m not one to be sporadic or all over the place. But this quarter I WAS A MESS. ✌🏼 I’ve had several mental breakdowns and filling my mind with regret. _ But GUESS WHAT... I needed to realize that this is a season of my life. A season of unstable ground and failure, but the good thing about this is, I’ve come out ten times stronger and more prepared than the person I was coming into this season. And guess what... That’s all that matters. I love you guys and thank you to everyone who’s stuck around and continued to support me. You’re a real one❤️
