I see you. 👀 I have been working my butt off the last couple of days trying to tighten up my study idea... and I feel like I accomplished that to an extent. 💁🏻‍♀️ But I got an email from my research mentor last night telling me to take a little break so instead of turning on my computer first thing this morning, I started this Sunday off slow and simple with some breakfast using the goods I picked up from the @icfarmersmarket. 🙌🏼 This bread from @the_local_crumb is actually insane... Woke up early because I gotta work today 😭 but i'm cool about it - it's a dreary cold day and I got some broccoli + egg hash by my side (and 4 dogs + 1 cat ). . . For the hash::: Sautee on high heat 2 broccoli crowns in a hot skillet with avocado oil garlic powder + @primalpalate New Bae seasoning until its extra crispy For the sauce:: take 2 tbs of @kitehillfoods jalepeno cream cheese (or any cream cheese and add chopped jalapenos to it) in a jar add 2 tbs of avocado oil a dash of cayenne pepper + a splash of water SHAKE IT UP and pour over the crispy broc. Add an egg and potatoes for extra credit 🤓 now go have a lovely Sunday and think of me while I'm home starting my Monday early 😉 #sailorbailey

I went on a meal prepping spree yesterday and made coconut chia pudding, Cinnamon Peanut Butter muffins from my #thrivingcookbook, homemade pickled onions with jalapeño and carrots, hard boiled eggs, and Reviving Detox Soup (also from my cookbook!) 😋 I have client appointments every day next week, as well as events, and HQ meetings, so taking the time yesterday to cook up a storm will help me stay on track this week 👌🏻

sunday oatie bowl topped with a little chocolate bark bc why NOT?!? 😎😎 we had a fun few days with grandma and grandpa visiting, but guys, today is gonna be tough—they bought gavyn a garbage truck as big as he is (you can see it in my stories) which means there’s no way i’m gonna get him to listen to a single thing i say today. he’s OBSESSED😐 send helppppp. but back to this bowl bc it was gooooood—one serving @rightfoods chia crunch oatmeal, homemade raspberry chia jam (handful of raspberries, 1 tsp maple syrup, 1 tb chia seeds, 1 tsp coconut oil, warmed and mashed), and a piece of chocolate almond bark (recipe in last post). I went on Facebook live yesterday to talk about my why. WHY I started doing this and why I CONTINUE to do this. And it’s because of these babies right here👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻 ••••••• I’ve mentioned my stretch marks a few times but they were my driving force in deciding to say yes. Waking up one morning to marks on your body that you’ve never had before, ALL because you gained weight too fast and too furious, that embarrassed me so much. I was so down on myself. I cried and cried and cried and that’s when the switch flipped. What I was doing was NOT working. And it was then that I realized if I was gonna change, I had to not only make the decision to change, but dive head first into it.🏊🏻‍♀️ ••••••• There have been times where the beckoning voices of Taco Bell and company have called to me. I’ve considered throwing in the towel. These workouts are not easy. A new lifestyle is not easy to achieve. But you know what’s harder than 80 Day Obsession? Waking up every morning and dealing with the emotional pain of hating your body and yourself😔 ••••••• My body has DRASTICALLY changed in these last five weeks. I know my stretch marks are a part of me now, but just because I have them does not mean that i have an excuse to continue living in an unhealthy way. When I was 19 I was a size 5, muscular, tan, and hot. Then 6 years later that bride ate that 19 yr old hotness. About 4 years after that she lost 21 lbs and felt the beat she’s ever been. Like most journeys hers was not a straight uphill climb. She gained the 21lbs back plus a few, but in that time she learned to be happy where she was planted. I have a ways to go until I’m where I want to be, but I’m happy and healthy. Size doesn’t matter as much anymore to me, but being fit and strong does. I’ll continue to take the path needed and be ok with any trips and falls along the way. The rest of 2018 is for becoming who I want to be and learning to be grateful that my body can still move. Oh and tomorrow is my 36th birthday 😳. When the hell did that happen?
