These donkey kicks with a resistance band are a powerful glute exercise. They really work into the bum muscles, you can do them with or without a band and build up strength. Key points are not to stick your bum in the air, keep a straight spine and keep your head and neck in line. Don’t drop your head or look up or you will put strain on your neck, keep your eyes on the floor. Also keep your knees under your hips and hands under your shoulders. Pull your stomach muscles in but keep breathing. Do 10 on one leg then the other, then rest in child’s pose and repeat twice. If you feel any pain then stop.

It's been a strange day so far. It started off normally, I usually get up at 6. I did some reading, did my workout and then I sat on the couch. Well an hour later I woke up and on the couch I was...still...lol. So I guess when the body tells you it's tired...listen. The good thing is I had a great workout and went up in my weights for shoulder day...go me! Let's show ourselves some grace....it's not a race!

The struggle is real!! I love working out, but not when it’s cold outside!! I just want to stay in my cozy pullover and drink another cup of coffee!! I have to change my mindset on days like that and be grateful for the fact that I AM healthy and strong and I AM able to exercise my body and I just do it!! I’m always glad I did and I’m always glad I can do the @fasterwaytofatloss workout right in my den and I don’t even have to leave my house!!

Personally I find longer fasts followed by regular eating days is better to keep metabolism up.
