Fitness goals are fluid things - they change as we grow and change and age. ๐Ÿ”ธ 3-4 years ago, the thought of getting a ring muscle up was very exciting to me. I wanted one. I used to do ring pull-ups, I worked hard on ring dips, and I tried L-sits on the rings whenever I got the chance. ๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿ”ธ Now though, a ring muscle up isn't as important to me and you know what? That's okay. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿ”ธ But, that doesn't mean I don't still like using the rings to help build strength. Ring rows, when done correctly, improve midline stabilization and help build strength required to do a pull-up. Placing feet in an elevated position increases the difficulty because a greater percentage of bodyweight is being pulled. Don't worry, you don't have to start there! Beginners should start from nearly standing and progress to a more horizontal position. ๐Ÿ™Œ Just be sure to keep the body tight and straight and pull the rings to your chest. Thinking this way activates your back muscles rather than focusing on arm muscles such as biceps. ๐Ÿ”ธ Give these a try the next time you're in the gym! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’ฅ
