Will fasting help me to lose weight? Fasting takes willpower and it isn't for everyone. You need to be dedicated to your goal and believe in the powers of fasting. Fasting certainly can help you lose weight and even boost strength and mental focus. To lose 1llb a week you need to reduce your calories by 3500, or 500 calories a day. When you fast during the day you will likely skip a meal, easily ditching 500 calories. If you are doing the eat stop eat the diet you are losing a whole day of calories and chances are you won't eat double the calories on the feeding days (without feeling pretty sick anyway!). If you stick at one of the intermittent fasting diets, start training and really focus on eating healthy foods when you do eat, then there is no reason why you won't lose weight. Just took this picture three days ago on Sunday January 8, 2017. I weighed in at 295.4 lbs, down from 303 lbs, having lost 7.6 lbs on my new diet over a period of 7 days before I took this picture. (Additionally, I just weighed myself this Tuesday morning Jan 10, and I was at 295.6 lbs, having lost 7.4 lbs in 10 days, just 0.2 lbs heavier from this past Sunday). ... I did this by alternating fast days and eating days (intermittent fasting). I probably need to fast every third day (or semi-fast on alternative days) instead so that I do not lose weight too fast. I do not want to lose any significant amount muscle mass. But I am very happy!!! I now sincerely think that I can lose the 100 lbs I want to lose this 2017 year and get down to a weight of less than 200 lbs. They're so good ;-; - I don't know how many calories this is...but I know it's healthy and spicy! It's probably quite a bit haha...cuz I got two bowls of rice >__><__< - I did a easy workout so far today (aside from the squats and planks) and burned about 120 cals I'll probably go on a run after....
