And they are my weakness bars and rings 👎😔 that’s why I am doing them and lots of them and get weighted ones eventually! 😬 Dips are a compound exercise incorporating the muscle groups of the chest, triceps and shoulders as primary movers and well as big time core strength, forearms and grip strength. FALSE GRIP STRENGTH! 🤓 - SWIPE ⬅️ to see the progressions in order. - If you can’t straighten your arms with classic progressions, use the box to develop the flexibility & forearm strength. - When you can straighten the elbows, start performing reps, making a fist whilst keeping the wrist in contact with the box. - When progressing to False Grip work on the high or low Rings make sure you keep squeezing the inside forearm to maintain the full grip - wrist bone in contact with the rings. - This active squeeze will continue to build mobility that will last. Some times you have to take a couple steps back to take the best strides forward. Breaking down and cleaning up my ring work (still more cleaning to do :)) Part of today’s training included working on applied strength toward the ring muscle up with false grip thumb to chest pull-up. After my first set of 6 (last part of vid), I tried my hand at turning the rings out to get the full ROM. Multiplies the difficulty level but my #falsegrip managed to hang in there for a few reps per set. Followed this with band assisted deep dips because after a short assessment today I realized I can only manage 1-2 unassisted with good form. This is how it goes

My first 5 weeks training wity Gymnastic Rings • • This is how it goes this far: -False grip -Pullup variations 》pretty much all of them -Front lever 》6 second hold -Muscle ups 》3 in a row -Dips 》10x 30kg / 4x 40kg • • Some tips and tricks: I'd focus on 1) Exercises above the rings (dips, planches, negative humans crosses, flies,...) because they aquire more stabilisation and a different kind of strength. Exercises unther the rings (pullup variations, rows, australian pullups,...) are not to be forgotten, but will come in time. 2) False grip. This is necessary if u wanna progress and do more exercises in the future. People who trained with with me know that flexibility is my weakest point by miles. Nonetheless i started stretching my wrists a lot more. I would recommend u to stretch your wrists often and in every direction. You also wanna strengthen them, inclusive your forearms. This simply by a deadhang in a false grip. Try them with your feet touching the ground first. If that goes well, put them up a box or chair, with the end goal to just realise a deadhang with false grip. Play with these 3 variatimes aswell as with time. Increase your time, increase your strength.
