🏋🏻‍♂️Loaded Carries🏋🏻‍♂️ - This exercise is most commonly referred to as a farmers walk, but a farmers walk is actually a type loaded carry where you hold two weights by your sides. - In this video I am demonstrating a half rack loaded carry. Simply hold a kettlebell or dumbbell snuggled up to your shoulder on one arm while the other arm is free. - It’s imperative to keep total body tension here, as any lapse in squeeze will deviate you from proper position and put your spine and shoulder at risk of injury. Make sure nothing is moving other than your legs. - Keep your shoulders back, core braced, posture tall and keep your breathing tight to keep the abs involved. It also helps to create irradiation through the other arm to activate the pillar and create stability globally in your body. You’ll do this by making a fist, keeping that shoulder blade down and back and angle your hand out to the side anywhere from parallel to the ground to halfway down. - Try this for 30 seconds on each arm at the end of your workout and go for a few rounds. - #loadedcarry #kettlebell #functionalfitness #cardio #coreprimer #finisher #strength #rehab #bodybuilding #endurance #balance #coordination #tension #fixbodygroup #mattcollinstraining

God is faithful to guide us and never allow us to go through struggles alone. We will struggle, but never ALONE. Often, God will not deliver us from our struggles right away, and that’s just God. BUT, He gets in there with us, deep down in the center and fights with us. It is in and through those times we are growing and maturing spiritually and that’s exactly what He wants. So our eyes turn toward Him and what he will do because we already know he CAN. We have to have faith that God is still good no matter what. ✨ Are you facing uncertain territory.? . •Swipe. . •Yesterday was Chris’ 9th “Ampuversary”. I didn’t have time to post then so here goes. . •I said “boy, we were in a bad place this night 9 years ago”. He said, “well, y’all were, I was sleeping”. He def was. Lol. . •After 9 years there’s little left to say, so I’ll just give facts. . •He absorbed 14,000 volts while out on a call for Duke Power that should’ve killed him. We’re thankful for God, first responders/flight medics/ & surgeons that are heros. •It entered his left foot amputating his pinky toe, up his left arm causing burns & an eventual amputation of his thumb, burned across his chest exposing his ribs, exited his rt hand causing an arm amputation. Had a toe to thumb transplant. His “thoe”. Had his hand sewn into his side for 5 wks for that & we were his hands for EVERYTHING. He has shark skin & cow collagen & a cool robotic arm. (He’s part animal 🐄🦈) •He was at the burn unit for 6 wks. He’s had 50+ surgeries & a very hard week of rehab for pain meds given to him or he couldn’t have withstood the injury. That took a great toll on us all. He still has issues & last week met with docs about another surgery. •He should’ve been blind, had kidney damage, been paralyzed etc. God is much bigger. •It was the hardest thing for our family to endure. Hard for me to live in a new town on my own. Hard to be separated from family. A hotel room gets real lonely with few visits for 6 wks, especially in the silence of night. I learned “alone” quickly. •We learned endurance, perseverance, patience, & what blind faith is. We’re all better for it. We still have PTSD issues but we’re ok. . •We swerved a few days ago to miss a car that pulled out & barely got back in our lane in time to miss a head on collision. It was fast & another reminder that in a second everything can change. Let go of petty things. Settle issues now. Don’t leave angry. Love harder when it’s hard. No regrets. . •Chris, you’re a conqueror. You told me you hoped you died first bc no one would want you scarred. Yes they would ❤️. You’re a hero. Your scars are beautiful & tell a miraculous but God story. You’re an inspiration to so many. Happy “Ampuversary”. I’m proud of you. I ❤ you.
