She was fox and deer, Butterfly and horse, Moon and tree ♡ . An excerpt from a poem I recently wrote. It was an energy that 'dropped' as words that needed to be captured. It became a means to safely give voice to a trauma I experienced many years ago. . It continues to surprise me how when I wrote this, in a flurry, it instantly ceased the restlessness I had recently been experiencing to "speak". I thought this meant 'speaking out'; to others, to the perpetrator, to the police. . But it seems, all my inner voice, little girl/teenager within needed, was to write this poem. To simply 'speak' her experience. . Healing ♡ . Recovery. . That's not to say that all of the other means were not important to me for my recovery. They most certainly were. And it has been a long journey, spanning some 23 years. But this poem...this is pinnacle. This hit the mark. This feels complete. . Healing and recovery is so unique for all of us. Our journey to acceptance is so unique. Follow your inner knowing...that inner impulse and trust its guidance. . And call in around you an amazing group of people you trust to support you and who can be a voice and advocate when you may not be able to do so for yourself. This is incredibly important...experienced counsellors, therapists and health workers to support your spirit and physical being as well as your trusted loved ones. There will always be someone to support you. Trust this. Trust your body's innate pull to heal. . ♡

Energy’s natural state is to be in continuous motion. As it travels it's always looking for the path of the least resistance. . We can trap and control energy but this will always go against its natural state and eventually energy will find its flow or it will no longer be energy. . When we move, flow, breath and interact, our intelligent body is also looking for the same path of least resistance. . We can resist being in flow for a some time, work against and try to control it but eventually we will align with the natural state of the universe or end up in a state of suffering. Once we tune into this, we realize that it's not what we do that brings us into harmony but how we not do it. . I often get asked how I make my flows look so effortlessly..Yes, it is a physical practice, but there is more to it. . Even when I built my strength and had a decent amount of flexibility I wasn’t able to flow. . Effortlessly, Connected, Like no one is watching.. .
