A little bit of snow won’t stop me from summiting a mountain 🏔❄️ The key is to have the right gear. Ask me anything about my favourite items I bring on hikes👇🏼 . 📸 @joshmcca

Switzerland - Halley . While you were watching Netflix. 🌛🌛🌛 . In the back you see a shooting star 🌟 which might was a particle that the great comet Halley deposited in the solar system in 1986. . As those particles hit Earth’s atmosphere they energise and glow for a couple of millisecond, something that happens as many as 40 times per hour to create a meteor shower. That’s what happened this week on Monday and Tuesday night as the Orionid meteor shower peaked after midnight. . I used a Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM ART, Sony E-Mount lens to capture this shot. . The SIGMA 14mm f/1,8 DG HSM Art lens combines a very large depth of field, due to the large angle of view, with a very narrow depth of field, due to the light intensity of F1.8. . The result is a crisp image that stands out from the expansive background that blends into a beautiful bokeh. It is a most impressive kind of photographic expression, which until now did not exist. . Many thanks to Olivia from www.owy.ch for lending me this lens. . #sigma #sigmaromandie #sigmaswitzerland #sigmaphoto #sigma #sony #sonya7iii #sonya7ii #zurich #mountain #halley #shootingstars #switzerland #swiss #myswitzerland #my_swiss_views #johnmavic #natgeo #earthoutdoors #meinabenteuermeinbiber

Shot in the middle of the highlands where you got views all over the country from the top of Kerlingarfjöll. A rhyolite mountain cluster that is thought to be 70.000 - 338.000 years old. Most of the peaks erupted under ice which explains the eroded and cone shaped looking formation.

Hop, skip and a jump and I'm back over on the stunning Outer Hebrides.⠀ ⠀ As the last light was fading, a longer exposure helped capture the "blue hour" feel of the scene. ⠀ ⠀ Enjoy and please share.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ #gitzoinspires #landscapelegend #theearthoutdoors #earthoutdoors #OuterHebrides #Hebrides #instascotland #visitscotland #OutstandingScotland #scotspirit #igersscotland #igersscots #scotlandshots #unlimitedscotland #scotland #thisisscotland #lovescotland #realscotland #ig_scotland #bbctravel #lovetheworld #incredible_shot #raw_allnature #longexposure
