This is the Gude Temple and it is located at Huangpu road in Hankou of Wuhan. Built in the 3rd year of Emperor Guangxu (1877) in the Qing Dynasty, it remains an active temple to this day. In the courtyard, there is a four-faced Buddha brought from Thailand. Its four faces represent mercy, love, fraternity and justice. Yuantongbao Temple is the core building of the temple. It is modeled after the Ananda Temple in Myanmar, which gives it an exotic style. The treasure hall is quiet and serene, and the sun shines through the doors and windows, sacred and peaceful.

Sunny water waves its glow, Misty rain tricks the hill. Plainly or gaily decked out like Xi Zi, West Lake is always alluring. #西湖 #westlake #杭州 #hangzhou ———————————————————————— Picture by @kevouthere Thank you for sharing your nice picture with us! ————————————————————————

Despite being just four hours away from Shanghai, the small village of Chengji (Yancheng County, Jiangsu province) couldn’t have been more opposite when compared to the busy city life of Shanghai. A friend of mine grew up here, where everyone in the entire village built their home by hand. They grow all of their food themselves (including raising their own chickens and pigs), and they only installed electricity in the late 90s due to government subsidies. The pace of life is slower, and nearly everything focuses around food. You’re either harvesting, cultivating, prepping, or cooking in some fashion nearly every hour of every day. But, when you’re front lawn looks like this, you get to enjoy the freshest traditional food imaginable for every meal. . . #realchina #localcharm #expatlife #traveladdict #explorechina #chinagram #experiencelocal #discoverchina #chinainsider #travelchina #chinatravel #chinatrip #chinadestinations #visitchina #instachina #chinalife #localculture #beauitifuldestinations #traveldeeper #tourtheplanet #visualsoflife #seetheworld #lookcloser #villagelife

⠀ The interview with David 👨🏼‍🏫 ⠀ We asked one of the teachers and our colleagues to tell and show us a little bit about their work experience of teaching in China. ⠀ ⠀ Further goes David’s statement: ⠀ I am a 26 computer engineer. Now I’m working as an English teacher at a kindergarten in Beijing for $3000 a month. Why did I go to China to teach English? ⠀ ⠀ 🗺I’ve always been interested in Asia, and looked for an opportunity to combine work and traveling. Money! Before China I would make less, that’s why money played a significant part in my relocation. ⠀ ⠀ ⏰What is my work schedule? ⠀ I start my first class at 9 a.m. It lasts for 30 minutes, we listen to a couple of songs, play some games, dance. Sometimes it’s real fun. There are two or three Chinese kindergarten teachers in the classroom who create discipline, so that I don’t have to put an effort to calm the kids down. It’s important to notice that, unlike a kindergarten teacher, I can leave the classroom after the lesson to run my errands. That is I have to deal with the kids only during the lesson. ⠀ ⠀ ⏳Between 9.30 a.m. and 10.15 a.m. I have some rest, sometimes I go outside to play soccer with the kids. Then I have two classes back to back. 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. is my lunch time. This intermission is a good opportunity to talk to some other foreign teachers in the school, since it’s a common break for everyone. Oh yes, we have 11 foreign teachers from Russia, the USA, and Canada. ⠀ ⠀ 🕰2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. I have two more classes, one after another. After that I have to be present on the premises of the kindergarten till the end of a work day, 4 p.m. Let me tell you what we got after all. I teach classes for the kids of three different ages, from 1 to 5 years old, 20 children per class, 5 lessons 30 minutes each, and 5 hours of rest and leisure time. Yet these conditions are not the best I have heard of so far. Last year I had 3 hours of lessons a day and just one extra hour which I have to spend in the school, but this was at a training center in Guangzhou, not a kindergarten.. A completely different story. ⠀

#lookslikefilm #pechino #citygrammers #chinalife #igerschina #instachina #chinatravel #travelchina #visitchina #discoverchina #mychinagram #beijing #instabeijing #spotoftheday #bestcitybreaks #exploringchina #traveltheglobe #theprettycities #visitasia #travelasia #golocal #gglocalgems #chinatourism #asiatour #theculturetrip #prettylittletrips #asiatravel #asia #asia_vacations
