КАК ЙОГА ИЗМЕНИЛА МОЮ ЖИЗНЬ ч.1 ⠀ ⠀ Без лишнего пафоса скажу: йоге я обязана практически всем. ⠀ ⠀ Помню себя, матерью-одиночкой сидящей в унылой квартире на отшибе Питера, и думающей: что со мной не так?..почему у меня такая невдохновляющая жизнь? ⠀ ⠀ Я же знаю, чувствую, что внутри у меня есть не-ре-альный потенциал. ⠀ ⠀ Что я могу что-то такое невообразимое, просто не знаю, что именно 🙈😂 и как это из себя вытащить... ⠀ ⠀ Ну и ещё, очень страшно что-то менять🙈 ⠀ ⠀ Знакомые мысли? 😉 ⠀ ⠀ Я думала: наверное, все дело в том, что у меня нет богатого мужа. 💡 Будет муж с деньгами, будет и гармония с собой! ⠀ ⠀ И вот следующая картинка: я сижу уже не в Питере, а в Альпийской деревне, за окном стоит подаренный мужем Джипарь, в огороде бегают куры, камин уютно потрескивает, пахнет борщом, деньжата, регулярно выдаваемые мне мужем хрустят в кошельке.. ⠀ ⠀ Но на душе по-прежнему тоскливо... ⠀ ⠀ И тогда, я случайно вспомнила, что 6 лет назад, я занималась.. йогой. Да, там в Москве, в офисе маркетингового агенства, где я работала... ⠀ ⠀ Без всякой задней мысли я открываю ютьюб. Набраю «Йога» и начинаю несмело повторять по видео... ⠀ ⠀ Вспоминать все, что когда-то делала на йога классах, трясясь...потея...чувствуя свою слабость и никчёмность... ⠀ ⠀ Я смотрела видео двигающихся, как грациозные пантеры американских йогинь и не верила: неужели я когда-нибудь так смогу?.. ⠀ ⠀ Ум говорил: «конечно, Аникош!», а тело отвечало: «Ты прикалываешься?!! Где ты а где они?!» ⠀ ⠀ Но я не останавливалась. Я занималась как псих. Мотивация, непонятная мне самой тащила меня вперёд. ⠀ ⠀ Очень скоро я почувствовала, что хочу преподавать... «но как? Я же ничего не знаю?», думала я.. ⠀ ⠀ А внутренний голос (сейчас я знаю, что это был Внутренний Гуру) говорил: «действуй. Не бойся!.. иди туда» ⠀ ⠀ И как только я сделала свой первый шаг к себе сегодняшней, приехав в Париж на тичерс курс к Жерару Арно- и началась тотальная трансформация.... ⠀ ⠀ Звучит как кино, да? Но это реальность, ребят! ⠀ ⠀ В первый же день своего обучения на тичера я... ⠀ ⠀ ДАЛЬШЕ ПИСАТЬ? Или нафиг такое блабла?..) ⠀ ⠀ P.S. I’m still working on keeping my hips square but these poses will help!! . 🦄DEEP LUNGE - HALF SPLIT: Flow between both poses. Keep the hips square to the front! TIP: Whichever leg is forward, that hip likes to sneak up, so be sure to pull it back in line 😉 . 😈BACK SEQUENCE: Hug one knee in & do hip circles. Straighten the leg up and hold for a bit. Next bring your nose toward the knee. Practice on both sides!! . 👾BABY DANCER: Love this thigh stretch! To really feel it, tuck the tailbone & press the knee down. Practice on both sides . 🙆🏼‍♀️STANDING SPLIT DIPS: Keep hips level! It’s okay if your back leg doesn’t go very high - just keep it straight with toes pointed down. Bend knees in together, then straighten, repeat several times! . 🕺🏿TIME FOR SPLITS!! Use blocks (or thick books📚) to control how deep you go. Blocks make it easier to square hips to the front of the mat! It’s best to have proper alignment VS forcing yourself down. Lower to your comfort level and absolutely 🙅🏼‍♀️DON’T🙅🏼‍♀️ force yourself too far if you aren’t ready!! . ✨Splits take time! Be patient 💁🏼‍♀️and learn to enjoy the journey! . . ⠀ I’VE MEDITATED FOR 9 DAYS 🧘🏼‍♀️ ⠀ No, I haven’t been at a #meditationretreat in India lately 🙈 I just wanted to count the time I’ve meditated in my life. ⠀ It all started from a short #groupmeditation guided by @pavlinapapalouka at one of her seminars in 2015 (actually it was the first #personaldevelopmentevent I’ve attended). A couple of weeks later, meditation turned into my #dailypractice , an inseparable part of my #morningroutine . ⠀ 🧮 So supposing that I’ve been mediating for 3,5 years for at least 10 minutes per day, I get: ⠀ 3,5 years x 365 days x 10 mins of meditation = 12,775 mins 12,775 mins / 60 minutes = 213 hours 213 hours / 24 hours = 9 days ⠀ The math lesson is over 🤓 But it’s just incredible that I spent almost one and a half week of my life #meditating , isn’t it? ⠀ I’m a huge fan of #mediation and try to do it at least once per day for 10-15 minutes. ⠀ 🎧 I usually practice a #guidedmeditation listening to my favourite #meditations on Youtube or #headspace app. Sometimes, when I’m in nature (at the beach 🏖 or in the mountains 🏔 ), I prefer just to sit down, close my eyes and focus on my breath. ⠀ Throughout my 3,5-year #meditationjourney , I’ve experienced so many amazing benefits for my #health , #selfawareness and #productivity . I saw @bowlingandyoga smashing @kevindhofers #handstandchallenge and knew I had to give it a go. The challenge was to see how many reps of #halfstraddle you could get. I loved what you said Becca “business on the bottom,subdued party on the top” 🤣🤣 this literally made me lol I managed what I’ll call 9.5 my goal was 10 but this was my best shot, in real time . Self talk: Self talk impacts EVERYTHING! Self acceptance, love, and compassion aren’t just fluffy sweet ideas , but powerful tools for healing, growth, and living a fulfilling life. We’re taught at a very young age how to act to fit in, we tend to internalize the voices of our teachers, parents, siblings, friends etc.. until we have all the ammunition we need to keep ourselves in line. But I ask “ in line with what?” I have a long history of being remarkably hard on myself, always finding fault, never feeling like I fit in or made sense in this world. My journey as a human and as a coach has been about unlearning fitting in, and learning how to honor, respect, and cherish the human being I am. Recognizing what we need to take care of ourselves even if it doesn’t make sense to other people. I need tons of down time, things need to be quite and still, dim lights, comfy pillows.. I don’t thrive with tons of stuff on my plate , people ask me if I’m busy like this is something I should strive for, but no one asks me if I’m happy, fulfilled, and actually enjoying my life. It’s what we know! So when we might be sensitive, introverted, or wired differently it can feel extra hard to be kind to ourselves because so much of the world demands we POWER THROUGH 🤨 I know as a super sensitive introvert it can feel extra hard as I feel the demands of life at times to be overwhelming. My way of managing this overwhelm is to make sure I’m speaking to myself with kindness, that I’m showing up in a loving and gentle way for myself. It’s one thing for life to be hard & it’s another thing when I am the one adding extra suffering to the mix by beating myself up. If positive self talk seems silly to you , or like it doesn’t really matter what you think, I highly recommend taking a long hard think 🤔 on what you’re thinking day In and day out and see how it’s affecting your life. It’s not a switch you turn on or off, it’s a practice, a lifestyle, a commitment to learn how to be more kind and loving towards yourself, starting with your very own thoughts. #emotionalmedicine #emotionalmedicinecoaching #mindfullness #dailypractice #lovingselftalk #selfawareness #selflove #lovingkindness

Today was a harder one with a good friend, my mind. ___ I've been sitting on some judgments and resentments, and whenever I do for too long, buying into the ego's illusion I have this luxury, my anger and irritations come out sideways. Ultimately, I end up snipping at or acting short with people around me, strangers and loved ones alike. ___ This happened today, and I inwardly started down the shame cycle. "Especially as a LIFE COACH" - the voice of Self-Criticism bemoaned. "You should know 'BETTER.'" ___ Fortunately due to my tools and inner process, I was able to step off the guilt and shame train, as it swiftly barreled forward. ___ There are many moments in a day where I can forget my very human condition. I aspire to certain ideals, and then face my own self-criticism if my "judgy judge" mind determines I am falling short. My relationship to perfectionsim has radically transformed over the years, which is why I have felt deeply inspired to share workshops on the topic, and assist women on their own healing journeys in my coaching practice. And, I am continually humbled by the recognition there is no "end" destination, and the work always continues. ___ So tonight, as I tell my clients, I'm not forgetting to catch myself with my own tender heart and self-compassion. With each moment, we begin anew. When I awaken my eyes to the love that has been there all along, and allow myself to receive my own self-forgiveness, true healing happens. I breathe, soften, and feel genuinely empowered to start over again, shame free. It leaves me with great gratitude for the power of choice, in how I relate to myself and thus others, that is always available to us. ___ How are you receiving the love of your own heart today? Lewis Noble is a stellar painter of landscapes that has crossed my learning path lately. Part of his process is to go out into the field and make small, fairly quick studies of the landscape on paper. These studies come back to the studio and are placed within a larger sketchbook to be reconsidered. Some parts get torn away, others repositioned, chunks fused...always looking for what's most interesting. For the past week I haven’t been able to move without excruciating pain because I damaged a disk in my lower spine 😔 This is just a friendly reminder to not take your health for granted. Your health is your wealth and it is much more important than the material objects we buy 💖 Instead invest in yourself, invest in your health because without it you won’t have much at all. Do you feel the same everyday? God knows I don’t! Some days my knee kills, other days I feel great. Some days I’m tired, other days I’m well rested.... but I’ve been trying to do better at taking how I feel and accepting it, so I can perform at my best. If I don’t, I normally perform like 💩! This isn’t easy to do by any means, but if you do it everyday you might get closer to his AIRness himself @jumpman23 - This is one of the biggest things I see from Amateur Golfers. They think everyday they should perform their best because they hit balls the day before well on the range. Well guess what, today is a new day and you need to play with who showed up today, not yesterday’s range player. - Good way to help improve upon this is meditation to help you become more aware of your body and your present self during the moment... because really that’s all that matters!
