Multiangled Tide 🌊 Here is a challenging spinal movement that I didn't think I could do with such precise control only a couple of months ago. Learning from @juenjon #SpinalWaves101 course week by week I have become more experienced and comfortable with moving my spine through as many articulations as I can feel. I have cultivated the ability to feel in my mind where the different segments of my spine are. As I've gotten better at differentiating my spinal segments I can also move them with more precision. 🌊 If you wanna give this one a try, think about leading the movement with your chest. Start by pointing your chest up as high as you can and opening the arms to aid this movement and then point the chest down and drop the arms down as well, all while not moving the hips. Next point the chest forward and back without moving the hips and moving the arms in a similar manner. Next is a diagonal down and forward movement followed by diagonal back and up movement which requires a small bend at the hips. Last movement requires a full bend at the hips while pointing the chest down then up. 🌊 I've got to say that becoming better at moving my spine has been much more rewarding than I anticipated. As someone who simply loves the joy of movement, discovering and learning new ways to move is already an enjoyable pursuit. However, the new ability to better control of my body's axis has noticeably improved my dancing. If your form is on point, deadlifts will help you to lose weight, build muscle mass, build core strength AND functional strength. Deadlifts are also great for preventing injuries and can actually help with your recovery process if you suffer from a bad back (seek the help of a UG PT in this case before attempting to deadlift) .
