Today I’m sharing with you a TRX tricep/core sequence I used with last nights class. A few things to keep in mind here. You are kneeling tall on the BOSU. That means knees, hips, shoulders in line, glutes and quads squeezed and core engaged. 1️⃣ Begin with the straps straight in front of you. Perform a kneeling an rollout. Keep that pillar position. The only thing moving is the arms. (1 minute). 2️⃣ Begin with the straps straight in front of you. Perform kneeling tricep extensions. Keep that pillar position (knees, hips, shoulders in line). The only bending is the elbows to bring your face toward your knuckles. Rotate those elbows inward slightly. (1 minute). 3️⃣ Revisiting this move from last week: start of the same as the exercise prior only this time while your in tricep extension, perform that crunch, bringing the ribs toward the hips (creating a c-spine). Release the abs before pressing back up. (1 minute) 4️⃣ Now for the finale...perform the kneeling tricep extension you performed in exercise 2️⃣ BUT now, lift one knee slightly off the BOSU. This is HARD! Keep those hips even and that core tight. Save this for your next UPPER BODY DAY 🤗 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ◾️Triceps circuit ⁣⁣ ▫️ skull crushers - 10⁣⁣ ▫️ close grip pushups - 10⁣⁣ ▫️ dips - 12 ⁣⁣ Do all three back to back, then take a break. Complete circuit 3 times! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ◾️ Chest/Shoulder Circuit ⁣⁣ ▫️ bosu pushups - 3 (each arm + 2 center = 1 rep) ⁣⁣ ▫️ hand to forearm bosu planks - 5 each side ⁣⁣ ▫️ kettle bell pull throughs - 8-10 each side⁣⁣ Complete circuit 3 times! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ▫️ add a bosu to make it more difficult and really work your core! ⁣⁣ * Let me tell you guys, I was a complete mess on my first set trying this one 😂 If you completely crash and feel like you can’t do it, I’m telling you to try a second set!!! Do not quit after one! ⁣⁣ It takes your body/brain time to adjust to anything new being introduced...you’re most likely going to fail your first time and THATS OKAY!! I do this allll the time where it really takes a couple sets for me to get used to a new exercise. 🙌 Motivation Monday 🙌 @stcharlessportsmed ・・・ Athletic Trainer Brian Kennelly and Physical Therapist John Ebinger challenging a basketball athlete’s proprioception and balance utilizing the HECOstix following ACL reconstruction. • This hand eye coordination task requires the athlete to track colors and process information rapidly in order to catch them correctly. With the addition of a Bosu, she is challenged further to maintain balance while coordinating and building proprioceptive skill. • Segment one- involved single limb support w/ side pass. Some of tonight’s workout. 1️⃣drop set sumo squats with kettle bells. I started with the heaviest weight and the most reps and dropped the weight and reps a bit with each kettle bell. 3 rounds. 2️⃣➕3️⃣cable crossover on top of bosu- this is targets core strength and all over coordination as you focus on form mainly. Very functional. I ended my workout with these, which I don’t suggest. My legs were so tired!
