Unlike flat, incline mostly targets your upper chest and you won’t be able to go as heavy. Just like with flat bench, you should slightly arch your back, tuck your elbows, and use full range of motion. - The primary difference in execution is where you bring the bar on your chest. Whereas with flat bench you should bring the bar to around nipple height or slightly below, on incline, you should bring the bar just below your chin to your upper chest. Wie ihr wisst trainiere ich nicht nur stumpf die BigThree, sondern der Großteil meines Trainings setzt sich aus anderen Übungen zusammen. Gerade solche komplexe Übungen sind technisch noch nicht perfekt bei mir, aber solange eine gewisse anständige Range eingehalten wird, ist es technisch zwar nicht 100% auf olympischen Niveau, aber ungefährlich was Verletzungen angeht. Und natürlich ist es dadurch schwerer, weil ich nicht so explosiv bin. Aber auch das ist nur Übungssache und eines Tages sitzt der Overheadsquat mit 170kg 🤫😬 Das ist eine sichere Sache. 🔷 When designing programs for muscle hypertrophy, it's always helpful to remind yourself what joint actions that specific muscles are involved in. The chest muscles are heavily involved in shoulder adduction and flexion. These motions can be isolated but are also combined in compound pressing movements. The pectorals are also involved in internal rotation of the shoulder; however, I don't think anyone is doing internal rotation exercises for chest growth. Lastly, the pec minor is also involved in shoulder extension, which occurs in things like dumbbell pullovers. This can be useful for chest development for some; however, in my experience, many people have a hard time "feeling" their chest on pullovers. If it's a tool that works for you, keep it in your toolbox.
