Do not let someone else’s opinion “force” you to eat something you don’t want or more when you’re already full. It’s ok to say, “no thank you” or “maybe later”. Just because it’s there does not mean you have to eat it. Maybe someone brought your absolute favorite cookies, but you’re just not hungry. Express your gratitude and let them know that you’ll surely be eating one with your lunch or in a bit when you’re hungry! ************************* People judge my eating ALL the time and it does not phase me! Barbell overhead press/Military press. More than just an upper body workout. Overhead press engages your whole body and can really help improve your balance. ~ ~ The bar should finish above your head with your arms extended. Try not to get caught up in just moving the weight up and down. Lock out your shoulders on the extension and control the weight back down- move with purpose. ~ ~ Engage your core!

365 days ago we pushed play for the first time. Today we’re a combined over 150 pounds lost. I don’t think either of us expected to be in this spot and yet here we are. It hasn’t been easy but watching @jen_henney absolutely smash her goals helped me stay motivated to crush mine. A lot of people think being a coach is a made up thing. That at home workouts don’t really work. That it’s all a money grabbing scam. You can believe or say whatever you want. I’ll just show you Jen’s picture. You know a few years ago I couldn't even get up the stairs without getting winded. . . I couldn't take the kids out for a walk without getting tired or my ankles hurting. . . So for me to get bundled up, get outside and shovel our entire driveway is a big big deal. And thanks to a few programs ( LIIFT4 and MM100) I felt like a badass trying to break up the ice , thank you 💪. Health while traveling: potentially the most important time to be a food snob. 😂 Eating healthy at home is easy because you can control what's in your house, you can meal prep, etc. When you're traveling, you often have to go out and find each meal as you go. This can easily lead to undesirable choices if you don't have an idea of what you're looking for... Eating healthy while you're traveling also ensures you enjoy your trip! No post-meal guilt or sick, bloated feeling. While in Charleston, my mom and I had smoothies and açai bowls (so good 🤤) and for breakfast we had either Rx Bars or guacamole with veggie chips. The second option definitely has more sodium than I'd like, but it's a better option than many others! Planning ahead and scouting out the area is your best bet! What do you eat when you travel?? 🍴
Today was an absolutely surreal day. I had the honor and pleasure of playing ultimate stage mom to my girl Jen as she got to sit down with @autumncalabrese and share her incredible story of losing over 100 pounds in the last year. We pushed play together for the first time a year ago tomorrow. I don’t think either of us could have imagined that this is how we’d be celebrating! I’m so beyond proud of all the hard work Jen has put in and to see her recognized by Autumn was an incredible moment I’m so happy she let me part of. I am nearly in tears as I write this post. As I sit here looking at this particular side-by-side, I feel so much weight lifted off my shoulders. I don’t mean physical weight either.. I lost some inches & I feel good but that’s not what is making me emotional right now. Nearly a year ago, I was in a very dark place. I was a people pleaser, I felt trapped by my own insecurities, and I always feared what people thought of me. I could feel my own unhappiness affecting those around me because I wasn’t at my best… in fact, I was at my very worst. I didn’t want to get out of bed in the mornings because I was never ready to face the day and having to push through the motions of my everyday life was mentally exhausting. I would get home from work & not have an ounce of energy left to give to my family. The mom guilt was unbearable & no matter what I did.. I felt defeated, stuck, and unhappy. I reached a point where I was tired of feeling like a waste of space. I was tired of being tired, and I was over not being my best for everyone in my life. This wasn’t me, this isn’t what I wanted my life to be. I realized that no one was going to hand me the life I wanted and that I was responsible for making that happen. Taking a step back from my teaching career to work on myself & be with my family was a TERRIFYING decision but if I could go back in time, I’d do it all over again. I’ve grown more this past year than I have in the last 10 years. I’ve gained self-confidence, I am mindful of how I spend my time and energy, and I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished so far. Now I wake up excited to start a new day. I stepped into OWNING the life I know I deserve. I let go of things that don’t serve me & I’m in a completely different head space compared to where I was in January and I’m in much better spirits. It’s freeing & it’s gratifying. I am thankful for this community of women who helped me grow through what I was going through this year! I can’t say enough good about this team of leaders, the online groups, workout programs, and the opportunities provided to me this year. I’m extremely proud of how far I’ve come MENTALLY this past year. 🖤
1st picture is from 2016 with a 3 years old, working out whenever I felt like it or had time and eating clean 80% of time! . 2nd picture is today, with a 6 years old and a 1 year old, following a specific workout program that targets my entire body, treating my workouts like my life depends on it ( sleeping, eating, drinking water, breathing) and eating clean 80% of time! . 😁note: I was happy with my body in both pictures! . How am I able to do this with two kids now and didn’t have time to do it with one kid? The answer is, I changed my habits and my priorities! . I can show you how, but first you have to decide that you want it! How bad do you want it?

Day 1 of MM100 is complete ✔️ I’ve committed to the next 100 days and I am so excited to share this journey with you guys! The good, the bad and the ugly 😅 Behind me you will see my gym space. It is the first thing I step into when I walk out of my bedroom. It might be a mess, and my laptop might be sitting on top of an upside laundry basket. BUT, I show up for myself, get my endorphins going, and wouldn’t trade my at home gym for anything. I can get my daily workout done in the amount of time it would take me to drive to the gym! How crazy is that. If you are sick of talking yourself into driving to the gym, actually driving to the gym, and then sharing that space with God knows how many people during the busy times. 💕 girls weekend was amaaaaazing So blessed to have such a loving family. . We had the opportunity to cuddle by the warm fire, share stories & laughter, and catch some major 😴. We’ve all had a very busy fall, so this was much needed! . Saturday I even got a fun sweat sesh in with my younger sister!! Loooove having my workouts go wherever I go!! . Sunday was a heart hitting message on TRUSTING in God based off Psalm 145. We’ve had some difficulties as of late in the Ouellette family, so it definitely was a message that brought some tears—but sometimes, that’s what family needed. . The recognition of what’s occurring to band closer together. We filled up our prayer card & turned it in to the team to pray over—one of our biggest prayers being over my infertility. . These Ouellette/Sutton/Martin/Twery girl’s are wanting a grandbaby/niece/or nephew!! 🤰🏼 . Thank you Lord for this wonderful time together—even though there were some unexpected chats & feelings, you just continue to love on our family so much. There’s just something about going to the actual gym 💜 • I know I posted this to my story, so forgive me. I really didn’t realize how much motivation can come from just changing your scenery. I’m usually working out in my home gym, which is equipped with a weight bench and a smith machine. Tbh, the gym gave me the extra push that I needed as well as some different exercises I was missing out on. 💪🏼 Felt good to be back!
