Working out at home with a NBA trainer changed mom’s perspective of reaching menopause. Her menopause weight is gone and can see more muscle definition. She felt stronger and knew she could push herself harder at the end than when she first started. After seeing this picture, mom went straight to our group page and thanked all the other coaches on the team because they inspire her everyday! So glad to be on this journey with her ❤️

Sometimes our bodies just need a BREAK! ⠀ ⠀ Have you ever noticed you’ve been legit crushing it in the fitness department but not seeing the results you would have hoped for?⠀ ⠀ Or what about all those MONDAYS that roll around and you just can’t seem to get motivated to have energy to DO THE THINGS.⠀ ⠀ I TOTES can sooo relate! ⠀ I’ve learned to STOP, BREATH, and listen to my body. I totally get it. So instead of slothing around being lazy about WHY I can’t get myself motivated I ALWAYS GO BACK TO THE BASICS. ⠀ ⠀ NUTRITION. NUTRITION. NUTRITION ⠀ REST. REST. REST. ⠀ ⠀ I implement a three day nutritional refresh to get my mind, body, and soul back into the game. I typically lose 3-5 pounds of inflammation and feel like a freakin MILLION DOLLAS! No joke, by day four I feel like I could run a marathon!! ⠀ ⠀ It’s basically slowing down, recovery, and fueling your body with high quality dense nutrition. Not only do I lose a ton of bloat but I sleep better and I’m just SO EXCITED basically about everything in life! Lol💕 ⠀ ⠀ I need this most during the Holidays to help me stay focused, happy, and “gut” healthy. I DID IT! I FINISHED MY 100 DAY WORKOUT! I woke up yesterday feeling weak, physically and mentally, and just not into it. My mind and body was saying, “you can finish tomorrow — just rest today”. When I finally got up, I pushed through the pain and finished 2 workouts: day 99 and day 100 (not realizing that the last workout was an hour long😳). So, on one of my weakest days, I ended up working out 1.5 hours. • I’ve been super emotional looking back at my journey over the course of a year and seeing how much it’s changed me for the better, both mentally and physically. Yes, I’m stronger and more fit, but I’m also more confident. Working out wasn’t ever about losing weight for me, it was about being more fit and toning areas after having babies. It has also helped me cope with my anxiety and stress. • I express my love for fitness because I truly love how it makes me feel and I want to encourage and inspire others to start on their own journey. You don’t need a membership to workout — you can go for walks, run, or do free workouts online. Having 2 small kids means one of us is up early every morning. I typically teach a few classes each morning and my husband will get up with the kids. This morning classes were rough and stressful (full of IT issues). I was SO awake that I decided I would just stay awake with the baby instead of going back to sleep for a couple of hours while my husband took care of kiddos. I can workout at home and get better results then in a gym ..... it seamed like so much money at the time but actually in reality I’ve spent more on gym memberships then I have on my fitness now and that includes my wonder shake ...... I’ve kept my motivation because I’m not getting bored there is so much choice and variety and new programs ..... and I feel better for it . I’ve done it all.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ I’ve had gym memberships at multiple gyms, I’ve went to fitness classes, and I’ve tried to “do my own thing,” but I was never consistent. I have absolutely NOTHING against those things, don’t get me wrong. I personally LOVE spin class but I struggle with going 5 days a week and when it came to going to the gym, I listened to every excuse not to pack up and get myself out the door to drive to the gym to workout. Follow @fit.inlife make you fitter :) - I am a big proponent of incorporating various rep ranges throughout your training. All rep ranges have benefits and they will all help to build muscle. - Strength workouts involve heavier weights. The targeted rep range is around 1-5 and you should be using approximately 80-95% of your 1 rep max. Rest times are roughly 3-5 minutes. You should wait as long as you need in between sets to move the maximum amount of weight on your next set. The goal of strength workouts isn’t to get a massive pump or “feel the burn.” It’s to safely lift as much weight as possible and to get stronger. - Hypertrophy workouts involve more moderate weight. The targeted rep range is around 6-12 and you should be using about 60-75% of your 1 rep max. Rest times are roughly 1-2 minutes. The primary goal of hypertrophy workouts is to increase muscle size. - Endurance training is the one most of us neglect because it’s boring, a little uncomfortable, and makes us use very light weights which is a blow to our egos. The targeted rep range is 12+ reps and you should be using approximately 50-60% of your 1 rep max.
