Shoulder Stretch: thought I’d show you this posture from this mornings Vinyasa practice. I do this in yin yoga also and is another great feeling when the spine twists also. As well as the shoulder, this asana is giving me an amazing stretch in the hip, glut that’s on top as my image diagram indicates. In fact so much so it cramped so backed out, breathed into it and it slowly opened some more. By moving around the position of feet arms torso you can feel how it impacts different areas for a stretch but does need mindful progression especially if you are tight. As I said I got a really amazing spinal twist stretch also it was really good. Anyway thought I’d share. Just been doing some handstand practice and some drawing and sketching. I’m grateful for the means to participate in all these things and for the ability to do Yoga. It seems to me that the main ability to really benefit from the true meaning of Yoga is listening to your body and very regular practice. It’s a very personal thing to meditate like this and to not be distracted from your inner self that’s whispering away to you. I’m realising at this juncture with the release that I’m experiencing just how tight my hips and body was becoming. I hope I can keep this going with the commitment and intention that’s needed to make it my lifestyle platform. ケララから宮崎に帰ってきました! あっという間だったけど 今回はかなり濃い旅になりました。 ゆっくり旅の記録を。 AHARA(食事) 病院では 朝昼晩と消化によい辛さ控えめの ケララのごはんがでます。 朝は米粉を使ったプトゥやイドゥリやドーサ、 お昼が一番多く消化のよいケララ米と 3種のカレーなど、 夜はケララでは珍しくチャパティやケララ米と2種のカレーなど。 もちろん肉魚はないですが、 どれもおいしいケララごはん。 朝食、昼食、夕食の割合は1:3:2 塩甘酸苦渋辛の6味が1度の食事にあると満足感もあり、ドーシャのバランスがとれます。 病院のごはんもまさに6味そろっています。 そして自分の消化力に合わせて食べることが最も大切です。 消化力の強さ、体力、食事の質を 考えて食べること。 胃の1/4〜1/3は空の状態にすること。 正しい食事をすると五感がよく働くようになります。 食事の量が少なすぎると肌のハリ、体力、精神力がなくなります。 そして、 食事の前には入浴し、キレイな服を着て、キレイな食器でお祈りをして食べること。 落ち着いた心で食べる。 食べることに集中して、話しすぎない、笑いすぎない。 消化力に合っていない食事をすることが、 病気の原因になるのです。 病院では朝夕とチャイが部屋にとどけられ、 お昼前には血圧が低めの私たちには ビーツとザクロとニンジンのジュースがでました。 毎日おいしいごはんとおいしいチャイ。 たくさん食べてお腹いっぱいでも 消化によいので 2週間で体重も減りました。 食べすぎは病気のもとです! もし何か不調があるなら食事を見直すのが 1番簡単です! #ayurveda #ayurvedalife #aviyanga #shirodhara #henna #kitchenpharmacy #garshana #medicalherbs #panchakarma #ladyslide #singlefin #surfergirl #beachlifestyle #oceanviewhome #vintageboard #yogalife #ashtangalove #アーユルヴェーダ #アーユルヴェーダサロン #アーユルヴェーダセラピスト #アーユルヴェーダライフ #海が目の前のサロン #妊活 #産後ケア #更年期障害対策 #予防医学 #セルフメンテナンス #自然療法士 #ケララ #南インド

🖤 “In the face of adversity, we have a choice. We can be bitter, or we can be better. Those words are my North Star.” 🖤 Hi beautiful! I had a tough week. 14 days ago I had a wrist injury practicing Pincha. I didn’t worry too much, put ice, and anti inflammatory cream. It didn’t get better, it got worse. To make the story shorter I am waiting now for the results of a Magnetic resonance, so we can see what happened. It can be few things, but one of them, it can be the cartilage, it might require a local infiltration. That is all fine by me, I have been through worse things not long ago. What really makes me sad is that I was 2 sessions away to be discharged by physiotherapy treatment for my SI joint pain and lower back. It was nearly 3 months of treatment and nearly 5 of deep pain. When I was getting back to my full Ashtanga practice.... This is what it is. It might require a 30 days REST. No Ashtanga Vinyasa, no Suryas, no arm balances. I know I have to stay positive. I can still practice. Tomorrow I will feel better. I can still teach, I can walk, ( I still remember vividly that last year at this time I was walking with sticks), so it will pass. I just wanted to share, to allow myself to purge out this frustration. I want to flow, to sweat, to expend this huge amount of energy my body and mind have the amazing capacity to hold. I believe there is a reason for it to have happened now, but I can’t figure it out today. What I know for sure is that I will open my mat later and say, well. Let’s see how I will adapt my practice to go through this, but I know will. . I wish you all a fab day, I have a kids birthday 🎂 party today, which my entire family will attend, including my beloved godson Felipe. He is only 7 months but it will definitely be fun! . I need your healing vibes and love ♥️🙏 . Today I wanted to photograph inside. What do you prefer? My old door or my garden?!? Please let me know! . .
