CLIMB A TREE VARIATION • • Here’s a great climb a tree variation that offers stability during rotation and lateral hip flexibility. With my three disc herniation‘s, rotation can often agitate my spine. HELICOPTER VARIATION Playing around with the @balanced_body arc and various infinity foot bar positions, I discovered this wonderful helicopter variation. This is an amazing stretch and very supportive using the foot bar just below the base of the shoulder blades. Core contraction helps to elongate spine. This is a great time to work the upper body. HAMSTRING STRETCH • • There are a million reasons why I love the infinity foot bar on the Clinical Reformer by @balanced_body • • With one red spring and the infinity foot bar positioned at the back of the reformer, I was able to stretch deep and felt totally supported. This set, up using the bar, allowed me to find my lats and engage the low abs. • • When doing is set up, make sure to reach the bar to the ceiling and broaden your upper back allowing your lats to flare out which opens the lower back creating more mobility of the lumbar spine. • • #MacGyverPilates #PilatesMacGyver #pilatespalmsprings #stretch #pilates #palmsprings #mendopilates #pilatesmen
