This week we are featuring @thedessertdietitian lettuce wrap tacos, for those who want to #FuelFor Cinco De Mayo but are watching those carbs… ⠀⠀ Ingredients: - 1 lb @lauras_lean ground beef - 1 tsp garlic powder - 1 tsp cumin - 1 tsp salt - 1 tsp chili powder - 1 tsp paprika - 1/2 tsp oregano - 1/2 small onion, minced - 2 tbsp bell pepper, minced - 3/4 cup water - 4 oz can tomato sauce - 8 large butter lettuce leaves, washed and dried Toppings (Optional): - 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese - 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, diced - 1 avocado, diced - Hot sauce of choice Directions: - Brown meat in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it into smaller pieces as it cooks. - When meat is cooked through, add dry seasonings and mix well. - Add the onion, pepper, water and tomato sauce and cover.
