Do you let your body define you? Is your value system based solely in the physical? . Two different physiques... same qualities. BOTH took a ton of hard work, focus, patience and grit.... . I used to think I was only inspirational if I was rocking a six pack, crushing it in the gym and slaying it on stage. When I was getting messages like, “you inspired me to compete!” , “you inspired me to try for my pro card!” . So when my physique faded, (along with those messages) I felt lost. Who would want to work with someone that didn’t even look “fit”? My physique didn’t reflect “hard work” anymore and I started to question who I was. Was I still dedicated? Was I still a hard worker? Was I still inspiring? . I attached ALL of my WORTH into what my body looked like! My entire value system was based on the shape of my body. . Yes, your body CAN be a reflection of your actions and characteristics, but it’s not the only measure. . You are more than your body. You are more than your weight. Don’t let anyone, (especially yourself!) make you feel like you’re any less if you don’t fit the mainstream mold. . It took breaking the mainstream mold and “losing” the body on the left to awaken to the realization that reducing myself and measuring my worth to only my physical form was the biggest disservice. It was heartbreaking actually. . Don’t waste another moment thinking you’re not enough. Don’t waste your precious time thinking you need to be a certain way. You’re perfect as you are. . Eat well, move in ways you love and think good thoughts. Realizations lately? How constricted and boxed in we all are and that the only rules we live by are the ones that people really apply for us and we just go along with it because it’s somewhat comfortable. It makes sense. What else would there be? How could we live without rules? Some type of guidance? Without borders? Are we even capable of that? Do people realize that this leaves us being stagnant? Flat line... As though there is nothing else to strive for because we are “doing what needs to be done”. To be “successful” what ever that means. We went to school. We got the job. We are making the money. We are saving to buy something bigger later. Who knows. Is this it? This is where were at now? What about all these rules that we have to follow when we start to experience consciousness and open mindedness – speaking a certain way, expressing ourselves a certain way, behaving appropriately… doesn’t that restrain us too but simply in a different type of world? Isn’t the entire point of being spiritual and free is to hold freedom? What kind of freedom is this? We lost touch of what “freedom means”. We lost touch of what WE mean. We lost touch. Hear that little voice in your gut asking for help? To feel more? To be more? Listen to it. You don’t have to quit your 9-5 like everyone seems to be doing, to chase happiness or greatness. Your happiness and true authentic fulfillment will rise above all the bs that you’re surrounded by and will resonate throughout your entire life no matter where and what you are doing. It’s like a fossil; needs to be dug up with quality and care and polished off just a little bit before you actually clicks, that you’ve in fact, found it.

Confession time! 🗣STOP EXPLAINING YOURSELF! . One thing I noticed myself doing when I gained weight was EXPLAINING to people why I looked the way I did. As if I needed an excuse or a reason to look this way. As if the way I looked wasn’t enough or that it wasn’t ok. No one else had a problem with it - *I* did. And I made sure everyone else knew about it by bringing it up. . I would meet someone and it wouldn’t be long before it came tumbling out of my mouth that I didn’t always look like this, that I actually used to be in incredible shape and that this was just temporary. . 1. No one cares 2. That mindset just reinforces the idea that this physique isn’t enough. . So, I stopped explaining and I just started being. . I also stopped looking for an answer. “Why did this happen?! Was it the coffee? Did I miscalculate my intake? But HOW could I have gained so much weight in so little time?” . Like everything else... it just happened. And you are where you are. No amount of figuring it out is going to change anything. . You’re allowed to be human. You’re allowed to have a baby and gain some weight. You’re allowed to have an injury and lose muscle mass. You’re allowed to be depressed and lose/gain weight. That’s life. It happens. So why do we act like we have to explain those things? . It happened. No different than anything else that’s happening. It’s all just happening. And here you are. . Allow yourself to be. Allow life to happen. Don’t resist what is happening or has happened. Realize it’s all the same and it no different than anything else that’s just happening. . It doesn’t mean you’re a failure. It means you’re human. All I do it set the time for 15 minutes and try to get as many rounds as possible. 10 reps each 1. Burpees 2. Push ups 3. Squats 4. Pull ups (if at home use a band for lat pull downs) 5. Single leg/pistol squat 5 each leg . To see improvement I’m seeing how many rounds I can do in 15 min! Soon I’ll move up to 20 min, then 25 and then 30 💪 . I’m also doing banded glutes because operation build a booty is back underway 😀 . Some Massage Therapist self care to make sure I can continue to do my job! Cupping involves using suction on the skin to lift, release, and stretch the fascia on top of our muscles. Doing fascial work can relieve pain in a relatively painless way 👌 Whenever my back hurts at home, I throw on these cups for about 10-15 minutes and I immediately get some relief. Cups shouldn’t be left on too long or the marks will be too dark and skin damage obviously isn’t a good thing. We are humans in an evolving experience where life calls on us to grow through our experiences. 🔅 Life calls for transformation. Challenges come to us not as a punishment, but as a gift even though in the moment we cannot always see that. We are called to action to transform our thinking, our perception, our projection to shift our awareness into a completely different mindset and reality. 🔅 It is in exactly those difficult moments when how we saw ourselves or our lives change is where we have a window open to us to transform. 🔅 We can either be blocked and refuse to accept this uncomfortable inner movement or we can surrender and lean in to trust that it might just be exactly in our highest to go through this new way of being. 🔅 Through it all, the breath is our grounding, our healing. The breath will guide us and support us to challenge ourselves in this transformation. 🔅 And with consistency, determination and trust, we keep “in the game” of our difficulty - ever transforming through it and before we know it, something magical happens. 🔅 Our wisdom and healing arrive and we see life through new eyes, the pain has been transformed into growth and maturity. 🔅 We can actually finally thank life for its challenge because we have become more of who we are, stretched our boundaries and angles to be even more. 🔅 Then we create our magic from this enlightened space. If you're on the go and need relief from negativity, this exercise is a quick way to ease your emotions. I refer to it as, "The Bag 'On The Go'", as it is adapted from the full bag exercise. ⠀ ⠀ Tune into the negative sensation, thought or difficult emotion that you're feeling. Inhale deeply, bringing one hand clenched into a fist towards you. As you exhale from your mouth, release the hand quickly away from you and open your hand as if you're letting go of the negativity. Simply place that hand over your heart and invite something positive into your heart. A calming, loving and relaxing thought or intention. Like all on the go Sophrology exercises, it will work best if you have previously practiced the full version in the sophroliminal state.
