Saturday morning batch cook and de-stress. Nothing was really to a recipe - I used up what veg I had in the fridge to save waste and added some, and made my lunches for the week and some freezer meals! The big pan is a bag of quorn mince with passata, chopped tomatoes, chickpeas, 1 oxo and loads of mixed veg. Made a few portions of pasta too (I always put a chicken stock cube in while its cooking so it's not 'plain' pasta) added boiled carrots and broccoli and AFTER removing from heat, a tbsp of quark. Didnt freeze any portions of the pasta but saved some for lunches and it did today's lunch too. While it is true that certain foods will affect how you feel & will nourish your body more or less...the only thing that will allow your body fat percentage to go down, is a caloric deficit. The best way to do this, is to have a proper fitness & nutrition plan that you can stick with. .⠀ Here, I’m giving you 3 different meal plan options for breakfast. Your weekly #mealprep inspo is back 💪🏽 More inspo @the_healthy_diary_ . Back to my normal routine means I'm also back to my healthy eating, which I missed so much during my holidays! For next week's menu, I've included two vegetarian meals from Veggie @bareguide. One of them is my absolute fave (Greek Power Bowl, this dish is a bomb💣 of flavours) and the second one is the Four Bean Greek Salad, which I wanted to try so badly 😋 (I had it for lunch today and can confirm that it's freaking delicious) . Xmas 🎄 is only a couple of days away but that doesn't mean that we throw in the towel until the new year.. On the contrary, the time to start working towards our health goals is NOW! 💪🏽👊🏼 . My full menu looks like this: . ✖️BREAKFAST: Not prepped, made fresh every morning. . ✖️AM SNACK: @sanissimomx salmas crackers with light cheese portions and a serve of raw nuts (not photographed) OR @chobaniau plain yoghurt with protein and fruit (I'll have berries coz I ate all the pineapple this arvo 🙈) . ✖️LUNCH: Veggie @bareguide Greek Power Bowl OR Four Bean Greek Salad . ✖️PM SNACK: White Choc and Peach Oatmeal Bake 🤤 . ✖️DINNER : Not prepped, made fresh every night . For whatever reason, everyone's first assumption is that training is the hard part.⠀ Getting to the gym, lifting with compound movements and overloading the body progressively over time. Maybe it isn't everyone's first choice of something to do after work, but that isn't the hard part.⠀ .⠀ In fact, going to the gym and lifting is quite easy in nature. What is hard is eating healthy consistently.⠀ .⠀ Focusing on whole foods, not stuffing yourself and eating based on your activity, that is difficult especially doing it consistently over time. Difficult doesn't mean impossible though. Far from. Eating healthy involves making decisions and choices at first that may not be your first choices nor the choices you want and it involves self control.⠀ .⠀ People always say that your abs are made in the kitchen and I believe that whole heartedly. You can work out has hard and long as you want, but if your diet isn't in check and you're not eating well consistently and your enot developing lifestyle habits, you'll never achieve the results you want. #BatchcookingTEKA 🍴Con todos los compromisos navideños, en estas fechas nuestro tiempo libre es casi inexistente. Gana un par de horas al día aprovechando el domingo para cocinar todas tus recetas de la semana, y dedica el resto del tiempo a disfrutar de la Navidad. • ⏩Desliza para ver los ingredientes • TARTA DE NARANJA 1. Precalienta el horno a 180ºC y tritura la naranja con piel. 2. Mezcla las semillas de lino con tres cucharadas de agua. 3. En un bol añade harina, levadura, sal. En otro añade el yogur, las semillas de lino, el azúcar, aceite, esencia de vainilla y la naranja triturada. Junta y remueve bien hasta que no haya grumos. 4. Hornea la masa en un molde unos 35-40 minutos.Déjala enfriar antes de desmoldar y espolvorear azúcar glas por encima. • GALLETAS DE JENGIBRE 1. Mezcla harina, canela, jengibre y sal en un bol. En otro bol, bate la margarina con el azúcar de caña. Añade la melaza, la esencia de vainilla y la leche vegetal. 2. Junta los líquidos con los secos y forma una masa. Déjala enfriar en el frigorífico 1hora. 3. Precalienta el horno a 180ºC. Enharina una superficie limpia y extiende la masa con un rodillo. 4. Con unos cortadores para galletas navideños, corta la masa con un poco de harina para que no se te pegue. 5. Hornea unos 6-7 minutos. • CALDO VEGETAL 1. Cuece las verduras durante 1.30 h aproximadamente. 2. Luego tritura todos los ingredientes con una batidora y cuélalos para dejarlo lo más fino posible. • ENSALADA ARROZ INTEGRAL 1. Cuece el arroz integral durante 15 minutos. 2. Dora en una sartén las zanahorias, la cebolla y el ajo. Deja que se cocinen unos 5 minutos a fuego medio. 3. Mezcla el arroz y las alubias con salsa de soja en la sartén y remueve. • EMPANADA DE HEURA 1. Extiende la masa de empanada con dos cucharadas de salsa de tomate 2. Carameliza la cebolla en una sartén. Luego añade la heura congelada hasta que se dore. 3. Tritúralo todo un poco y añade esta mezcla en la mitad de la masa. Luego dobla la empanada y séllala. 4. Hornea a 180º durante unos 10 minutos hasta que se dore. • SMOOTHIE DE UVAS Tritura todos los ingredientes y ¡disfruta!

It does not matter if you eat 6 meals a day or 3, what really ultimately matters is the CALORIES YOU CONSUME.⠀ .⠀ If you are eating a surplus you will gain weight. If you eat in a deficit you will lose fat.
