Currently feel like I’m dying and can’t move, so I’ll be watching your Netflix suggestions in between naps 😴 - Sooo for the past week I had gotten sick (sore throat, phlegmy cough *attractive*, achy muscles), it started to get better and go away...and then all of a sudden my body just decided it was going to shutdown on me 🙃 Since yesterday, I have slept close to 35 hours, can hardly move my neck, my brain feels like it’s pushing against my skull, I can’t grip anything or lift anything well, everything hurts, I’m clammy and sweaty but my body is freezing *again,attractive* , it feels like I’m trying to breathe through a thick blanket, and my eyes feel like they weigh 30 pounds each. Until I am better, my workouts will consist of me lifting a teacup to my mouth and putting it back down (feels like 25 lb bicep curls so ya know I’m still making gainz) 💪🏼 - Happy Friday everybody 😄

2016 vs Now. 2016 was a very very bad year of my life - physically, financially, job wise, emotionally when PCOD was at its peak. That time I never understood what the real issue was - the fact that my body was not healthy had a huge impact on my mind and life in general. I had a very callous lazy attitude towards everything with zero motivation for anything in life. My preferred routine was just to come back home from work (which I gave 0 fucks about) n just chill, eat junk, run for ladies nights and booze a lot. That was the only escape I had in mind to feel ‘good’ about myself. Addiction to sweets, alcohol n other intoxication with friends was my sole resort to cure pcod mood swings. Fitness at that time, for me, was simply bullshit! I assumed it would mean following stupid strict diet, live on soups n salads n workout with machines in some stupid desi gym. I would actually ridicule/mock people who pursued a fit life, back then. Anyway, fast forward to today after I lost 11 kgs now.Generally happier with the body today - stronger, feel active & much more energetic and honestly happy with the work I am doing, have a much more positive attitude towards my body/mind & my image. My idea of fitness is never stereotyping a thin lanky image of a girl. U should be into fitness to be strong, not skinny. I think now I look quite fit for a 30 year old. Doing all those things in conjunction for weeks/months on end is what gets these kind of results in the abdominal region, and everywhere else on the body. Having shredded abs all the time isn’t super realistic, but having a strong core and somewhat visible abs totally is. If you want either, make sure you’re doing ✨everything✨ that’s needed, not just the obvious stuff👍🏼

As you can see I did a pretty big @traderjoes haul today 👉🏼And I’ll be honest- I’ve never cooked anything with eggplant🍆 (they are surprisingly light?) I have no idea if I’ll like the frozen mashed cauliflower or the beet gazpacho I plan to make with the açaí packets but I think that’s half the fun 🥗👩🏻‍🌾 When my partner and I started dating about 4 years ago I remember thinking about how often he suggested we go out to eat for a normal dinner instead of making something at home (like, it’s Wednesday 📅 but maybe he was just trying to court me.) I’m thankful that he was open to my suggestions of cooking together instead of grabbing a bite out. Of course it’s fun to have a meal out (see yesterday’s post 😁) but it’s so much healthier and inexpensive to make something at home.
