Is Your Mind Right? Over the Last few posts I have discussed the 3 training foundational pillars that will give you maximum results while saving you time in the gym! Now I want to Share with you the 3 foundational mindset pillars you MUST have ignorer to achieve your goals in and out of the gym! The first of three mindset pillars you must develop and have is the Warriors Mindset! What is the warriors mindset? This is a huge question I have often asked myself! What are the key factors that drive a warrior to achieve his goals and objectives no matter the fate that stands in his way! What is the mindset of someone who faceless death and carries out his duty knowing full well the consequences of failure! I have had the honor of serving in the military for 8 years. 4 of those amazing years I served as an infantryman in the Marine corps. I put myself back into those warrior boots mindset and was able to remember the mindset that kept me moving forward with my brothers. Here are the secrets that build a warriors mindset: 1) Self wroth - Building self belief through a crucible of mental and physical trials with the consistency of holding yourself to your highest morals and values, will rebuild a whole new self view. This leads to true self worth and value. Your self worth is a reflection of how you view yourself. 2) Complacency Kills - Complacency promotes laziness and easy comfort. Zero growth will happen when we are in the “comfort” zone. If you are comfortable with your situation and surroundings, you no longer have awareness for growth! Stepping out side of the comfort zone to operate on a uncomfortable level will only advance your growth mentally and physically. 3) Learn Form Failure - Failure is not a loss. Failure exposes the weakest link. All of us, at some point will fail. Stepping back and learning from failure will allow us to improve the weakest link. This is the only option to reaching our potential. So, to sum this all up, TO build a Warriors Mindset, we must learn these 3 core values: Self worth Complacency Kills Learn From failure #mindset #trainright #trainhard #trainsmarternotharder

𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙀𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮⁣ ⁣ In chemistry, activation energy is the least amount of energy required to activate atoms or molecules to a state in which they can undergo a chemical reaction.⁣ ⁣ Similar to how activation energy is required to trigger a chemical reaction, we can think of a similar energy required to start or create a new habit or behavior. ⁣ ⁣ The bigger the habit shift or behavior change, the larger the activation energy required to start the process of change. ⁣ ⁣ For example, you want to lose 50 lbs. Thinking about starting to lose 50 lbs, you think of all the things you have to change to start the reaction in your body to lose that much weight. Changing ALL your foods, NEVER going out with friends cause you might mess up your diet, exercise EVERY day of the week. The activation energy seems overwhelmingly high. ⁣ ⁣ Now think, I want to lose 1 lb per week. That doesn’t seem so insurmountable right? I mean, 1 lb a week is like nothing. A couple small changes here and there, and you could lose a lb a week, right? ⁣ ⁣ When making positive behavior changes you want to make, a key to make them sustainable long term is implementing things in your daily routine that take as little activation energy as possible.⁣ ⁣ The easiest way to start implementing positive healthy lifestyle shifts is, piggy back them on things you already do daily. Those habits you know you won’t forget to do everyday because they are ingrained. Here are examples of a few:⁣ ⁣ 🔹 You want to start every day reciting positive affirmations. You keep forgetting to add to your morning routine. Write them out and put them by your toothbrush, so when you brush your teeth in the morning it triggers this new habit.⁣ ⁣ 🔹 You need to de-stress, and to do this you want to implement a new habit of deep belly breathing. Well, most everyone drives a car at some point in the day. When you get in and put your seatbelt on, think about doing deep belly breaths against the lap belt.⁣ ⁣ 🔹 You want to start your morning by walking or jogging. Put your alarm clock across the room, and the night before, lay out your clothes and shoes next to your alarm clock! #activationenergy

Today’s 5/3/1+ session. 5 @ 108kg, 3 @ 122kg and 1+6 reps @ 136kg. Followed by chest accessory work (incline DB press - 10 @ 27.5kg, 8 @ 30kg and 5 hard reps @ 37.5kg (these left me a sweaty mess...) then close grip pause bench @ 50kg for 4 sets of 10 and 50 press ups to finish (20,15,15). Shattered but well needed. So glad to have @keoghan.litchfield and @pt_clara40 there to push me on and start the day with a positive and throughly enjoyable session
