Best exercises for back? (By @smurray_32 ) ➖ In general, compound exercises that include shoulder extension and/or adduction seem best for stimulating maximal latissimus dorsi. In Lehman’s terms, the lats appears to produce greatest muscle activity during any vertical pulling exercises such as pull-downs/pull-ups as well as during horizontal pulling exercises such as various row variations. ➖ Deadlifts: Though not an essential exercise for back growth, Beggs et al (2011) showed that both a double overhand (pronated) or mixed (one hand pronated, one hand supinated) grip using heavier loads (80%1RM) displayed significantly superior lat activity than lighter loads (60%1RM). Therefore, if you opt to include deadlifts into your training program, heavier loads seem to be superior for overall stimulation vs lighter ones. ➖ Lat pulldowns: Studies have concluded a pronated grip (Lusk et al 2009) brought to the front of the neck (not behind the neck) (Signorile et al 2002) using a “middle grip” of ~1.5 biacromial distance (Andersen et al 2014) be the most optimal in recruiting the lats during a lat pulldown. The addition of a close grip pulldown could also be an effective variation for increasing trap recruitment. ➖ Pullups: Studies have shown both pullups and chin ups to elicit very similar amounts of lat recruitment when relative loads are equal (Doma et al 2013). However, though lat recruitment may be similar, bicep and pec recruitment have shown to be significantly more in chin-ups vs pullups which have greater trap and less bicep recruitment (Youdas et al 2010). ➖ Rows: Though it’s still unclear whether horizontal or vertical pulling exercises display SUPERIOR lat activity, one study by Lehman et al (2005) reported that the seated row displayed significantly greater lat activity than the lat pull-down, especially when retracting the scapula therefore, a row variation is only of benefit in order to optimize your back training. ➖ Practical implications: The lats can be maximised by using heavy loads and a mix of both horizontal and vertical pulling. - Tag someone who needs to see this! - FOLLOW 👉🏻@blaze_athletics👈🏻

Holiday Eatings 🍽✈️ - During Holidays there's a common trend to take the day off and indulge in food. 🤤We often ask ourselves what to do, how do we get back on the wagon. 🏎 How do we not just toss the diet for the rest of the year. 🤕 ——————————————— We must not forget how our body works, and the simple thermodynamics equation. If we eat more one day that does not mean we’re screwed, it means that we need to adjust our diet for the following week. 😊🤓 ———————————————— Let’s say that we mess up our diet one day and our caloric maintenance is 2,400. ✊🏼Let’s assume that we eat a few brownies and a few cookies on New Years and we end our day at 3,000 total calories. 🤫😋 Day 1 : 2,300 Day 2 : 2,200 Day 3 : 2,250 Day 4 (Holiday) : 3000 Now we ask ourselves how do we adjust, we have to simply cut our calories for the next few days to make up the calories! 👊🏼 Day 5 : 2,100 Day 6 : 2,000 Day 7 : 2,050 Now let’s add up our overall calories and net lost. ✍🏻 [2,300 + 2,200 + 2,250 + 3,000 + 2,100 + 2,000 + 2,050] / 7 = 2,270 Calories Now we can see that 2,270 < 2,400. Therefore we have successfully kept ourselves below our caloric maintenance. Meeting so many of the people that follow us and being able to speak to them personally is one of the craziest feelings. Whilst it can get super tiring at times standing and talking for hours, it’s 100% worth it when you see the impact that people and we as a team can make, especially when you’re just used to seeing numbers and names on a screen. I say it every time but once again it was a surreal experience and I was stumped at the level of support and all round positivity. Cannot wait for the next event coming to a city near you 😂 .

Как "накачаться" эктоморфу?🤔 ⠀🔹Эктоморф - это тип телосложения с минимальной прослойкой жира, быстрым метаболизмом(обмен веществ), тонкими костями, длинными конечностями и которым очень сложно набрать жировую и мышечную массу. ⠀Прежде чем начать, я хочу сказать что я яркий пример эктоморфа, и все советы написаное здесь я вывел для себя на протяжении чуть больше года 📅тренировок, и эти принципы помогли мне набрать больше 15кг мышц, когда я начал заниматься в зале🏋️‍♀️ я весил 58кг и сейчас мой вес около 76кг. ⠀📌Самым главным принципом набор массы является - питание, так как быстрый обмен веществ способствует быстрому сжиганию калорий и чтобы избежать катаболизма(сжигания мышц путём распада сложных веществ: белка и других аминокислот) ты должен есть каждые 🕟2-3 часа. ⠀📌Количество еды🍌, измеряется в калориях, для начала ты должен определить количество калорий которое потребляет твой организм, для этого умножь свой вес на 35, и добавь 200-300 калорий чтобы быть в профиците и твой организм смог рости, если вес не увеличивается нужно добавить ещё немного калорий. ⠀📌Какие продукты🍏 нужно есть? Все твои калории должны быть чистыми - это значить ты должен есть только сложние углеводы (рис,гречка,макароны,овсянка) никаких быстрых углеводов🍫🍩🍪, а также фастфуда🍔.Белок, основные продукты: мясо, яйца, сыр, творог, арахис, бобовые. ⠀📌БЖУ - это количество белков,жиров и углеводов. В твоём рационе должны быть 4-6 грамма углеводов на килограмм твоего веса,1,5-2 грамма белка и 1 грамм жира. . . . . . #heavy #instafitness #barbell
