I needed to find some balance

Catching up on #blissfullybalancedyogis I needed to find some balance off the mat for a bit.. but I'm back to finish 🤗 Day 3 is Toe stand of choice I rarely do this one so I wanted to visit it again. I'm surprised at how low my heel hung when I found balance Day 4 is #warrior3 my favorite warrior variation! Day 5 is half moon pose A foundation pose I definitely need more work on🙈 Day 6 #eaglepose getting easier to get into😊 at least today And final day is inversion of choice I went with #supportedheadstand I tried pincha but wasnt finding great balance today for straight up which is what I wanted to work on! This week has been about practicing balance on and off the mat. Honestly, this has been an amazing week. One of those weeks where you feel like anything is possible and the opportunities are endless. And guess what? They are. 😏🙌🏼 . . Final day on #BlissfullyBalancedYogis and chinstand is an inversion that I’ve always felt intimated to do. I fractured a vertebrae in my neck some time ago and this stand would always feel so risky to even imagine to attempt.. I started practicing it, baby steps at a time, using blocks and walls for support. What's an inversion? An asana where your heart is above your head. There are so many types of inversions. You don't have to do a handstand or a headstand to reap the benefits. For example, dolphin pose ⬆️. It doesn't look it, but it's hard as hell, and gives you the same benefits as a headstand would. Start on hands and knees, lower down to your forearms, and then lift your legs. Try to get the heels down on the floor, but if the hamstrings/calves are tight, toes is just fine 👍 . . . Day 7: #blissfullybalancedyogis and an inversion of choice. 🧘🏼‍♀️ I did about 100 handstand kick ups and probably could have taken a screen shot of one with a bit of hang time, but that wouldn’t have been very honest. 🧘🏼‍♀️ I decided that my inversion of choice today is #forearmstand prep. Yup, prep. Hips are over heart, so it’s an inversion, and it’s my ongoing practice in balance and patience. You have to put in the work. The hard stuff, the struggle, the falling over, and the time. We don’t magically invert or become the best versions of ourselves overnight. It takes tapas, dedication, and grit. 🧘🏼‍♀️ So today as you find balance, take a moment to celebrate the work you’ve done and continue to do. And embrace the idea that the work is never done, it only shifts and evolves.
