“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use the more you have.” ~ Maya Angelou. . Day 2 of #LightenUpWithChakras is the second chakra, the sacral chakra or svadhisthana. ✴️ . . The sacral chakra is orange in colour and is located about 3 inches below the naval, at the centre of your lower belly button. It is associated with the emotional body and creativity. It's element is water and as such, it's energy is characterised by flow and flexibility. The sacral chakra is associated with the realm of emotions and it's at the centre of our feelings and sensations. It's particularly active in our sexuality. ✴️ . When the sacral chakra is imbalanced our relationship with the world and other people can be effected. Our emotions take control and we start to become either dependant on others, or completely numb and detached. Therefore, creative movement especially in the hips where our emotions lye, is perfect for balancing out our sacral chakra. ✴️ . . . . 💠 Hosts: 💠 @syoghina @stelasulzdorf @yogi.hemaxi @__sil_06 . . 💠 Sponsors: 💠 @onzie @liforme @pricklypearmalas @naturesblingoregon @daknang_medicinalherbs . . 💠 Pose lineup: 💠 1. What is the root chakra? ❤️ . . Day 1 of #LightenUpWithChakras is focusing on the first Chakra, Root or Muladhara Chakra ❤️ . . The root Chakra is located at the base of the spine. It is symbolised by the colour red and the lotus flower with four petals. Muladhara represents the centre of our instincts, stability of the mind & body, relationships, survival and self sufficiency. Its energy is based on the earth element. Therefore, it supports us in growing and feeling safe to explore all aspects of our lives. It is related to the feeling of safety and security, whether it’s physical - regarding our bodily needs or metaphorical - regarding housing and financial safety. The root chakra is where we ground ourselves into the earth and anchor our energy to manifest it into the world. A positive balance in the Muladhara Chakra would lead to mental and physical health and prosperity. . . Therefore, standing fold is a wonderful foundational, yet grounding posture. It helps us to feel balanced aiding us to face our fears and doubts. Practing forward folds will help us to feel more confident through the stretching and lengthening of the spine and hamstrings, meaning better sleep and less anxiety! 🙌🏼❤️ . . . 💠 Hosts: 💠 @syoghina @stelasulzdorf @yogi.hemaxi @__sil_06 . . 💠 Sponsors: 💠 @onzie @liforme @pricklypearmalas @naturesblingoregon @daknang_medicinalherbs . . 💠 Pose lineup: 💠 1. It’s Bloopers Thursday! 😂🙌🏼 . Yes - this is me falling out of boat pose 😂. I actually love any core asanas (I’m that weirdo🙋🏻‍♀️). No matter how much you love something, it doesn’t mean you always get it perfect. After all my sad posts lately, it was fun to just show something with lots of laughs 😁. It’s not the most flattering, but it sure does put a smile on my face and reminds me that even through hard times we don’t always have to take ourselves so seriously 🙌🏼. . . As usual, if you would like to share your bloopers and take part, tag me and use the hashtag #BloopersThursday and I’ll post you in my stories! 🌈New Challenge Announcement! 🌈 #LightenUpWithChakras . 25th - 31st May . Come play with us as we explore the 7 Chakras. Chakra is an old Sanskrit word that literally translates to wheel. This is because the life force (Prana) that moves inside of us is spinning and rotating. This spinning energy has 7 centres in our body, starting at the base of the spine and moving all the way up to the top of the head. In a healthy, balanced person, the 7 Chakras provide the right amount of energy to every part of your body, mind and spirit. Let’s work on lighting up our chakras and balancing them through asanas and knowledge! . . 💠 Hosts: 💠 @syoghina @stelasulzdorf @yogi.hemaxi @__sil_06 . . 💠 Sponsors: 💠 @onzie @liforme @pricklypearmalas @naturesblingoregon @daknang_medicinalherbs . . 💠 Rules: 💠 ✨Follow hosts & sponsors and repost this flyer. ✨Tag some friends to play along! ✨Post daily using the tag #LightenUpWithChakras ✨Keep your profile public. ✨Show your fellow participants and hosts some love! . . 💠 Pose lineup: 💠 1. I don’t have much to say today other than I can’t thank you enough for all the love and support I’ve gotten over my last two posts. I’m sorry I’ve not been on here very much, but I have to take care of my health and this has been a long old journey to get answers and now finally treatment. No matter how I feel, every time I pop on this app I feel nothing but love. I’m truly grateful for each and every one of you for always keeping me positive. I also believe in the power of prayer and thoughts and you always keep me stronger than you know. . . I took this Bird of Paradise last summer and never ended up posting it because I didn’t like the way my foot looked (I know, crazy🤦🏻‍♀️). But now I can appreciate what I was able to do with new eyes. You better believe I will get it back once I’m better!! We all have muscle memory right? Finally I just want to send out healing and loving energy to each of you too and to the four corners of the earth 💚 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #yoga #yogi #igyoga #inversion #yogafam #practiceandalliscoming #yogaeverywhere #igfitness #fitness #instagood #photography #yogisofinstagram #yogachallenge #namaste #outdooryoga #beagoddess #yogaphotography #fitspo #yogadaily #yoginis #flexibility #strength #fitnessmotivation #gym #positivevibes #goodvibes #crazysexyyoga #fitfam #instayoga #goodvibes

How has your weekend been? Mine hasn’t quite gone to plan. It was my brothers engagement party last night and I was really looking forward to it, but I couldn’t make it as the treatment for my condition has been making me really ill. It kind of sucks but thankfully I have a super understanding family. It made me realise how much what I’m going through is effecting my life and the people around me. However, I’m continuously reminding myself to stay positive and trying to smile and laugh as much as possible. It could always be much worse. 💁🏻‍♀️ . I am a firm believer that no matter how s*** something is, something good always comes from it - that’s the hardship lessons we learn from our placement of Saturn in astrology. It takes a lot of patience and hard work to train your mind to think this way but it isn’t impossible. Sometimes you can’t always be positive, and that’s totally OK. My rule is: If you can’t be positive, at least be neutral -anything is better than negativity. Sometimes it feels a little forced to make yourself smile or tell yourself positive things but it can really help change your perspective. . So today, instead of feeling sad, I’m focusing on all the kitty cuddles 😻. I already had the biggest laugh as I was playing fetch with my cat (yes that’s her favourite game) and I accidentally hit her on the head with her little pink ball. It wasn’t a hard throw and she wasn’t even phased by it, but I had a solid belly laugh for a good half hour - poor Luna 😹🙈. Also she’s been mad at my husband and I because we moved her big box 📦 out of the living and she’s being a little brat so we had to move it back. Oh, how pets train us and not the other way around 😹. Do you have any funny pet stories?

Today has been a big day. I finally have some answers to everything that’s been going on with me. It’s scary to even think about as for the longest time all I wanted was answers - to just know what’s causing me to feel this way so that I could finally get better and just move on with my life. Of course I’m happy that I know now, but it’s also scary that something is actually wrong with me. 10 months down the line I’m still in so much pain and I’m still on crutches. I even started questioning myself, if I was imagining it all since in all honesty most doctors just told me that my issues are due to depression after the physio treatment didn’t work, without even testing me for anything or taking me seriously. As someone who’s been through an eating disorder and come out the other side, I know what depression is and this wasn’t it. Sure I feel down a lot of the time since I can’t walk, but who wouldn’t in my position? . . Finally we found a doctor who wasn’t dismissive and actually cared enough to ask questions and give me the appropriate tests. I will share the outcome soon as I believe it’s important to spread awareness, but for now I need time to let it sink in. But my message is: don’t let anyone invalidate you or make you feel like what you’re feeling isn’t real. I knew what I’m going through isn’t normal and just because someone tells you something doesn’t make it true - especially without proof. I’ve slowly been getting worse as my condition has been undetected for such a long time, but I’ve never given up hope of getting better. I can finally get help now and get better. My point is, you know yourself and your body better than anyone. Listen to your gut, trust your intuition and let it guide you.

Need I say what day it is? 💁🏻‍♀️😂 . Yes this is me falling out of a figure 8 arm balance. Don’t worry, I didn’t get hurt and I was on soft grass so I was totally fine. This was just way too funny not to share for ‘Bloopers Thursday.’ 😅😂 . It’s always lovely to post the nicest and prettiest poses on Instagram but it’s also just as fun to show the fails, falls, flops, in-between shots and all the laugh-out-louds. I don’t think I’ll ever stop falling out of arm balances or any kind of balances in general - this is just reality 😂. . . As usual, if you would like to share your bloopers and take part, tag me and use the hashtag #BloopersThursday and I’ll post you in my stories! Yesterday my husband told me that I was the bravest person he knows. He said he doesn’t know anyone who not only confronts their fear, but does it twice (in a very short period of time). It made me emotional as I’ve never thought of myself as brave. I’ve been hiding away from my fears my whole life but when you let your fears get the better of you, then you become your own prisoner. . . . It’s like the 8th house in astrology. This house makes us scared of leaving our problems. No one can open the door for us because we have to open it our selves. Sometimes we want people to help us out of situations but we have to want to help ourselves. When we deal with our fears and overcome these hurdles it only makes us stronger. None of us want to be our own prisoners and only we can set ourselves free. . . “The body and mind is an experience in the self. There is no body, mind, universe. These are concepts the human mind creates. Everything other than this second doesn’t exist, just like a dream.” ~ Deepak Chopra. . . His quote just sums it all up. To me fear just means a person is on the verge of transformation. From confronting our fears we choose to gain love and knowledge. 💙

Samskara’s are the subtle impressions of our past actions. A person must unlearn the negative thought patterns they have built up over time if they are to achieve anything in yoga. Day 10, our final day of #MayTheOmBeWithU is focusing on Yoda with an Inversion of choice ✨💫 . . The name “Yoda” is an obvious adaptation of the word “Yoga” and Master Yoda is the most wise and powerful Jedi ever to live. Luke's training with Yoda gains him new powers such as insight and the ability to move objects with his mind by controlling the force. He also learns balance, speed and wisdom. The key is concentration and focus just like the Yogic philosophies. Yoda is very small and appears weak at 3 feet tall. He is very old and it's obvious that Luke is still stuck in his Samskara (Past thinking patterns) believing size is strength. ✨. . “Size matters not. Look at me, judge me by my size do you? Hmm... Hmm... well you should not. For my ally is the Force and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. It's energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you - here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship" ~Yoda . . "But Master it’s different" ~ Luke . . "No, it's no different! Only different in your mind, you must unlearn what you have learned. That... is why you fail.” ~ Yoda . . Yoda shows a person must unlearn the negative thought patterns they have if they are to achieve anything in yoga. At the same time it explains how important focus and faith is the path of the Jedi in the same way it's that important to a Yogi. These are all things we must confront and achieve in order to complete any inversion in yoga. . . According to Yoga we must live in the present, the right now and the way of the Jedi is exactly the same. Acceptance of the past and no expectations of the future are two very important yogic concepts. Day 9 of #MayTheOmBeWithU is focusing on Han Solo with a Dolphin pose 💫✨ . . Han Solo is the extremely confident pilot captain of the millennium falcon. Along with his wookie co-pilot Chewbacca, both pilots became involved in the rebel Alliance’s struggle against the galactic empire. He’s husband to Princess Leia, brother-in-law to Luke Skywalker and father of Ben Solo. . “Let’s keep a little optimism here.” ~ Han Solo ✨💫 . . In the Star Wars galaxy, whether you put your trust in the teachings of the Jedi or the calculations of a navicomputer, it always pays to have hope. For Han Solo, there’s no situation so grim that a little optimism and a sense of humor won’t win the day. Therefore, Dolphin pose is the perfect representation for him. One of the most highly effective, strength and stability-building postures in the yoga practice. Just like Han, we need the mindset of being in the present, optimism and self belief to have the stability to feel somewhat comfortable in this challenge asana 🙌🏼 🐬. . . 🌌Intergalactic Hosts:🌌 @ker.yoga @stelasulzdorf @amy.yogini @supyogawithkarine @yogileonie @pole.yogi . . ⭐️Interstellar Sponsors: ⭐️ @aloyoga @alo.moves . . ⭐️ Characters & Pose lineup: ⭐️ 1. "Rebels! Blast 'em." ~ Stormtrooper . . Day 8 of #MayTheOmBeWithU is focusing on Stormtroopers with a Chatauranga Dandasana 💫✨ . They're the iconic soldiers of the Empire. Between them and Darth Vader, they’ve been one of the most recognizable symbols of Star Wars. George Lucas took his inspiration for them from German soldiers. The name "stormtrooper" comes from the German "Stoßtruppe,” which was the name given to shock troopers in World War I and World War II. The stormtroopers were the men on the front lines, trying to infiltrate enemy trenches. . . So how does Chaturanga Dandasana represent stormtroopers? well, Chaturanga, literally means “the four limbs of the armies” in Sanskrit, although it’s often translated as "Four-Limbed Staff Pose.” If there as a pose to represent the soldiers of the empire, this is it! Stormtroopers are strong and fearless and when this pose is executed correctly, it’s so powerful that you will build full body strength. . . 🌌Intergalactic Hosts:🌌 @ker.yoga @stelasulzdorf @amy.yogini @supyogawithkarine @yogileonie @pole.yogi . . ⭐️Interstellar Sponsors: ⭐️ @aloyoga @alo.moves . . ⭐️ Characters & Pose lineup: ⭐️ 1. Karma yoga is the path of unselfish action. The Jedi's practice Karma yoga as a lifestyle and devote themselves to the service of others and the community. The core aspects are acceptance and no expectations, which are vital to the way of the Jedi. They are keepers of the peace and bring unity “yoga” to the galaxy. Day 7 of #MayTheOmBeWithU is focusing on Princess Leia with a Standing Balance 💛✨ . . From an early age, Leia used her power and privilege of the royal house of Alderaan to venture out into the galaxy and help others whenever possible. The moment she was given command of the Tantive IV, she saw it as her duty to help the downtrodden and oppressed; her parents, Breha and Bali Organa taught her to fight injustice so she spent her life doing just that. She is the perfect example for Karma yoga as she serves the community and expects nothing in return. She helps people completely selflessly without expecting praise and does her duty of helping others without hesitation. She is willing to risk her life at any moment to save another and that makes her a true practitioner of Karma Yoga. Like the man she fell in love with, Han Solo, Leia made a habit of finding herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, yet time and time again she proved herself a hero. . . Standing balances are the perfect asana to channel our inner Princess Leia as mentally, they help us to find balance and justice - just like Leia did, and physically they take a lot of self awareness. The strength it takes to hold the balance teaches the seeker, according to Karma yoga to purity the mind and free the ego, moving us one step closer the path of enlightenment. . . 🌌Intergalactic Hosts:🌌 @ker.yoga @stelasulzdorf @amy.yogini @supyogawithkarine @yogileonie @pole.yogi . . ⭐️Interstellar Sponsors: ⭐️ @aloyoga @alo.moves . . ⭐️ Characters & Pose lineup: ⭐️ 1. The Force can be thought of as Prana in the Yogic view (life force). A Jedi gains all of his power, knowledge and wisdom through this life force. The force is what gives a Jedi his strength. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and binds the universe together. Day 6 of #MayTheOmBeWithU is focusing on Luke Skywalker with a Warrior of choice 💛✨ . . “It’s an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together.” ~ Luke Skywalker explaining what the Force is. . The story begins with a boy named Luke Skywalker who is living on a desert planet called Tattoine. He meets an old wise man named “Obi Wan Kenobi” who is a Jedi Master. He is taken under Obi Wan's wing to learn the ways of the Force. The Force is a more broad term that encompasses more then just Prana, it also means Bramha, the creator of the universe and Paramatma, which is the universal consciousness according to the Yogic view. In the first 3 movies of Star Wars, Luke begins to train in the ways of the Force, just like the Yogic path which is a life long undertaking. He travels with Obi Wan on an adventure to join up with a fleet of rebels whose goal is to destroy the empire and bring peace and democracy to the galaxy once again. . . And how do you access The Force? You enter a posture and breathe, which is remarkably similar to how one practises moving prana in yoga. I don’t know about you, but Warrior pose is not one I find relaxing or easy. In fact the strength it takes for this asana is extremely difficult, so as Luke Skywalker says to Rey: “Breathe. Just breathe. Now reach out.” Doesn’t this sound very similar to what you might hear in a yoga class? . . 🌌Intergalactic Hosts:🌌 @ker.yoga @stelasulzdorf @amy.yogini @supyogawithkarine @yogileonie @pole.yogi . . ⭐️Interstellar Sponsors: ⭐️ @aloyoga @alo.moves . . ⭐️ Characters & Pose lineup: ⭐️ 1. The Jedis have two paths they can choose to go down - the art of the Force (the light side) or the darkness. The light side involves knowledge, wisdom, understanding, acceptance etc... Whereas, The Dark side uses fear, forcefulness, aggression and anger to gain their power. Day 5 of #MayTheOmBeWithU is focusing on Darth Vader 🖤✨. . Darth Vader has become one of the most iconic villains in popular culture, and has been listed among the greatest villains and fictional characters of all time. . . “I see through the lies of the Jedi. I do not fear the dark side as you do. I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new empire.” ~ Darth Vader . . This parallels the ways of the Jedi perfectly because Tantra speaks about 2 sides, the left and right. Both can lead to the end goal but one involves using fear and the other uses the path of knowledge and wisdom. The Dark Side can be very appealing as a person gains their power much faster. Whereas, the left hand will produce positive results in a purer form. The Jedi/Yogic path is a hard life and both require dissolving the ego, meditation, training and commitment. . In a sense arm balances are great as they require a level of darkness (fear) and a level of dissolving the ego (the light side). Combining the two is the perfect way to channel our inner Darth Vader and gain the strength to feel confident in this strong asana of any variation 🙌🏼🖤. . . 🌌Intergalactic Hosts:🌌 @ker.yoga @stelasulzdorf @amy.yogini @supyogawithkarine @yogileonie @pole.yogi . . ⭐️Interstellar Sponsors: ⭐️ @aloyoga @alo.moves . . ⭐️ Characters & Pose lineup: ⭐️ 1. When we think of the Force we think of energy fields. Chakra energy fields and the Force are really one and the same thing. Chakra references to a spiritual energy center around the body and the Force is an energy field that surrounds us and binds us and the galaxies together. Day 4 of #MayTheOmBeWithU is focusing on C3p0 with a Boat Pose . ⭐️💫✨ . C-3PO is the funny and Witty droid fluent in over seven million forms of communication. Along with his counterpart, R2-D2, C-3PO constantly found himself directly involved in pivotal moments of galactic history and aided in saving the galaxy on many occasions - such an awesome quality to have 🙌🏼. . “In his belly, you will find a new definition of pain and suffering, as you are slowly digested over a thousand years." ~ C3P0 . . I choose this for his quote because when working with core strength our Manipura Chakra is ignited. This energy center governs our sense of self confidence, inner strength, willpower and self discipline. The Manipura Chakra is the element of ‘transformation’, and we can see this for ourselves as we take on any challenges we’re faced with. The Manipura chakra is our source of personal power 🙌🏼 . . Jedi’s implement a huge part of the yogic practice - the Yamas and Niyamas. Specifically Tapas (discipline). Tapas is cultivating a sense of self-discipline, passion and courage in order to burn away ‘impurities’ physically, mentally and emotionally - paving the way for our true greatness. This fieriness is what gets our heart pumping, heightens our desire for personal growth and reminds us of how much we love our yoga practice! Day 3 of #MayTheOmBeWithU is focusing on Chewbacca (the furry and lovable Wookiee) with a Plank of choice. ⭐️💫✨ . “Raarrwwrararrrrrrrrr” ~ Chewbecca . While Chewbacca doesn't speak a line of English, he is an eminently quotable character. His growls, snarls, grunts and guttural cries have conveyed a lot of meaning in the Star Wars movies. Often Han Solo does the translations, but if you take the emotion delivered in the growl and the characters motions with the context of the scene, then you'll see that Chewie is quite the nuanced character. He became the Wookiee military leader and is a true warrior. . . Just like the plank pose, a leader needs to show determination, strength, and agility - all qualities needed to possess the perfect plank hold of any variation. You need Tapas (disciple), willpower and strength to keep pushing though and not let your battles, fears and obstacles get the better of you. This is how you gain the strength to feel confident in this powerful asana - just like Chewbaccca. . . 🌌Intergalactic Hosts:🌌 @ker.yoga @stelasulzdorf @amy.yogini @supyogawithkarine @yogileonie @pole.yogi . . ⭐️Interstellar Sponsors: ⭐️ @aloyoga @alo.moves . . ⭐️ Characters & Pose lineup: ⭐️ 1. Yoga means freeing oneself from desire, accepting all and reaching permanent peace. It's about joining 3 energies - Intellect, Emotion and Karma. Jedi’s deal with awakening this Kundalini energy that lays dormant within each of us. The way of the Force, specifically is the exact same thing as Yoga. Day 2 of #MayTheOmBeWithU is focusing on Obi-Wan Kenobi (the Jedi master) with a chair pose. ⭐️💫✨ . “If you define yourself by the power to take life, the desire to dominate, to possess… then you have nothing.” ~ Obi Wan Kenobi. . . In a sense, this encapsulates everything Obi-Wan stood for: He was selfless and kind, and although it looked like he had nothing, Obi-Wan had more than any of his enemies could have ever hoped for - a noble purpose. He wasn’t fueled by revenge like Maul, or driven by rage like Darth Vader. There were a number of opportunities were Obi-Wan could have succumbed to such temptations, but he, as he tells Maul here, rose above that darkness. His dignity, his principles, his focus, all these qualities made Obi-Wan not only one of the greatest characters of Star Wars, but also one of the greatest heroes. For this reason we have assigned chair pose to him as this pose requires a plethora of focus, concentration and strength - all qualities we can learn from Obi-Wan. Just think about what it takes to truly feel Zen in a chair pose and become a Jedi master. . .
