Meet Lindsay Cameron a @lucid.life.yoga. She will be sharing her skill set with us tomorrow in Ayuryoga: Winter Balance. We thought you should know more about her: . Life encouraged change and so began my yoga journey. The first yoga teacher training I attended was in 2011. I moved to Halifax with my best mate to learn healing methods such as yoga, meditation and mindfulness. I spent 2 years on the east coast, receiving a 200hr Vinyasa Yoga training from Halifax Yoga Studio as well as a 650 hr Ayurveda Consultant Certificate from Kripalu, Massachusetts. During my year in Massachusetts I met an incredible being, named Vasant Lad. Wow! I was so inspired by this amazing human. The moment I met Dr Lad, I knew I needed to study with him. So I packed my bags and moved south. Albuquerque, New Mexico would be my new home for 3 years. . The Āyurvedic Institute, incredible friends, and beautiful state will forever be in my heart. I spent 2 years at the Āyurvedic institute diving into the world of yoga and life alchemy. To paint a picture, Āyurvedic school is a modern day Hogworts. Alchemy, magic, harmony and rhythm are a few things you learn at the Āyurvedic Institute. While studying Āyurveda I enrolled in a 300hr Ayur-yoga training. This training was beautiful, completely eye opening and changed the way I practice. . After the Ayurvedic institute my heart was called to stay in New Mexico. I enrolled at NMSNT (New Mexico’s School of Natural Therapeutics) I had found another school for wizards 🦄🌈😌. I completed 950hrs of anatomy, physiology, TCM, Shiatsu, Ayurveda, Polarity, Swedish massage and the list goes on. My toes where dipped in a pool of knowledge both ancient and modern. I am very grateful for the incredible and inspiring friends and teachers I’ve met along the path! I bow my head with respect to the keepers of wisdom, Yoga and Āyurveda, present, past and future. . As we come into the final phase of our 50 hour You Yoga Immersion Training, we are feeling incredibly alive. One question we worked with last week was about vision. . We challenged the participants to tune into their vision and to write it down. We asked them to consider their ultimate fantasy, their dreams, and to do so without limit. We told them to go big and not to let fear stop them in this exercise. . Now we want to challenge you! Share below one ultimate life goal. If it scares you, good! If you don’t believe it yet, that’s fine! But let’s practice honouring our crazy visions. Everything is possible and we all have to start somewhere. Why not start today by simply saying it out loud. Nothing is off limits. . And go!

P R A N A Y A M A. This term is derived from the Sanskrit word, prana, meaning “life force”, and ayama, meaning “extension”. Pranayama is the awareness and control of breath. It is the life force that both energized and relaxes the body and mind. It is an integral part of yoga and mindfulness. . Every Tuesday at 6:00am we offer a pranayama practice that awakens and invigorates your body and mind. We use breath to help break through physical blockages, cleanse the body, and oxygenate your entire being. It is one of the most incredible ways to start the day. . This is our PSA that you simply must try this practice. We are also considering adding times or changing the time of this class. Please share below when you would like to experience the amazing practice of pranayama!

Grounding down. This is exactly what we have been doing within Pure Living Yoga over the last month. Setting aside space to get clear on our intentions for our year together is crucial in our success as a community and as individuals. We make sure to stop, pause, and ask the right questions. What is our vision? How can we help? What will create growth? And the list goes on. We find that the only way to really expand is to create the space for it. . On top of a regular yoga and meditation practice, we take time off to plan. We journal our dreams. We talk and communicate with our people. There are so many practices that help us get clear and really create what it is we need as a whole. . What are some practices you have to get ground down and manifest your life? We would love to have you share your practices that keep you moving forward in life. Let us know in the comments!
