Trust me when I say — the greatest thing you’ll ever do for yourself is to simply listen to what you actually want from life. Drown out the guidelines, the advice, the shoulds. Drown out all of the opinions, all of the ways in which others are telling you how to live, and love, and exist in this world. It won’t be easy, it never is; because this is what they don’t tell you— Finding your own version of happiness isn’t that comfortable, miraculous thing. It can get confusing, it will be hard. It’s difficult to be the person who does things differently, who chooses to walk away from a life, or a love, or a hope that they once wanted. It is never easy to be the person who changes. But it’s the greatest gift you will ever give yourself. It will push you towards figuring out what your own personal version of happiness looks like; when you grow on your own terms, when you figure out what actually matters to you, what actually ignites your heart, what actually drives you to love yourself more— You live on your own terms. You become the person you have always wanted to be, rather than the person you were always told to be, and that is beautiful. Because when it comes down to it life is finding happiness that works for you. So choose that happiness, choose the kind of love that feels right, the kind of love that makes you understand why it didn’t work out with anyone else. Choose the kind of life that makes you so damn happy you kept fighting for things you wanted, for the way in which your heart asked you to believe in more. Choose yourself, unapologetically and without guilt— The way you choose others. Show up for yourself. Give yourself permission to help, to care, to trust in the things you deeply crave from life. Choose letting go. Choose forgiveness, choose to turn your losses into lessons. Choose to move forward, into the kind of story that fulfills you, into the kind of person that holds your heart just as carefully as you hold theirs, into the kind of happiness that exist because you chose to fight for it, and never stopped fighting for it. Never stop. Thank you— @kaitlynbristowe for sharing this. ♠️

Here’s to interrupting the - degree° weather posts with a little jump back into some of my favorites this past year. I needed some inspo. And a personal reminder, to Ⓜ️yself to stop just doing a lot of bucket-list bookmarking and get back out there. THE ITCH IS BACK! Heres to nights, that make you realize what living is all about!!⚠️ Wandering the streets of Paris, and it’s a city of love for a reason y’all, to still to this date the dreamiest sights atop of Sugar Loaf in Rio, to my first time in a grocery store in France, to the canals and alleyways of Milano — after a few tasty Aperol Spritz’s, to the parks of Ireland and the crazy outfits I wore all over Dublin. And my LOVE for the Deep South continuing.... 🌎🌍 There’s seven days in a week and someday isn’t one of them 🤪🤘🏼

ᴅᴏɴ’ᴛ ʜɪᴅᴇ ғʀᴏᴍ ᴡʜᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴀʀᴇ My mom said, “back to reality” ...and I thought about that phrase, and I said what is “reality?” I can tell you one thing, mines ALWAYS changing. My reality is not your reality. And yours isn’t mine. BUT Reality is NOT Instagram. Life isn’t the highlight reel. Even tho I LOVE taking photos and the art of photography and capturing a moment! I know how to be present in a moment, I GO on that adventure with a stranger, or with friends that mean the most to me, it’s feeling the moment, sensing, looking around at the world and all of its beauty, instead of a screen. And then coming home to whatever home it is, to yourself —or your significant other with the biggest smile on your face because YOU have a story to tell! So I challenge you to stop looking down at your phone, and up at what’s around you. And not being afraid of going out of your comfort zone. The universe is so much more exciting than instagram or texting will ever be and it just might surprise you. ᴀᴄᴛᴜᴀʟʟʏ, ɪ ᴘʀᴏᴍɪsᴇ ʏᴏᴜ ɪᴛ ᴡɪʟʟ✨
