Safe. Something few can be. Yesterday, at @theretreat.animalsanctuary I spend some time with some of the few who are safe, despite a society that is built around a system that demands that their kind suffer and die. They’re free from human harm there now. They are respected. No one takes from them. No one exploits them. No one stabs them. No one rips off their flesh. No one takes their eggs. No one molests them. No one forces them into a perpetual state of fear. No one forces them to do things they don’t want to do just so a human can benefit. Humans there care for them and act in their best interests. And they leave them to do what they want to do. Because they are not here to serve us, they never have been, and never will. A world exists in which this is clear to everyone, we just have to put in the work and time to make it now. Are you paying for their torture? When we consume animal products we directly do this. This doesn’t have to be this way anymore. Message me for help stopping this and how you can help bring about societal change, sooner rather than later because individuals like these need help now.
👻With #Halloween tomorrow, here’s a frightening PSA 👻:
The right to be free - not owned - or to have a guardian acting in their best interest. The right to be rescued. The right to have their interested protected by law and represented in court. The right to have their homes, habitats and ecosystems protected. The right to not be exploited, abused or killed by humans. Five fundamental rights that all sentient animals should have. Help enshrine them in law. Ask legislators for an @animal_bill_of_rights and take action today.
When you highlight violations humans pay for, you are bound to receive opposition from those humans to your actions. MAC staff during our @dxe_brighton action yesterday were immediately defensive and unprofessional, and wouldn’t stop saying things about how we were all hypocrites, without actually giving proper reasons for why we were. I do think to some degree we are all complicit in the violations we were there to highlight...but let’s imagine we were huge hypocrites. Would the hypocritical actions of one individual be enough to make it morally justifiable for someone else to torture, mutilate and kill other innocent individuals? MAC tests on animals. This is violent beyond belief and is completely unnecessary. End all animal exploitation. Join the movement of animal rights. Help push for an @animal_bill_of_rights that will enshrine the fundamental rights of all individuals into the law. Don’t by products tested on or from nonhuman animals. 📸: @dxe_brighton
Goodbye my friend, my kin. Although I guess to say goodbye now seems strange. I hadn’t seen you in a year, and we’d said goodbye back then. I don’t know if it’s now truly goodbye...perhaps only in this form, this physical idea we shared in the hills, rivers, beaches, fields, woods, home...but perhaps not even that. I was thinking of you yesterday, and last night I felt anxious and I couldn’t sleep. Today I realised why, with the sudden news of your passing. In the forms you take forever on, may you be free. May you be free. I love you my friend, my kin.🐾 . . . Thank you for the photos, @blueollis 💙
At @animal_rebellion today, inside Smithfield market - a place where bodies parts are sold, a place where in the past woman were sold and political prisoners were executed, a place that activists now occupy - there were moments when my mind went to her and the others who are out there now being exploited and killed unnecessarily. Take a close look at her. She has had her horns cut off. I suspect this was because she has resisted her exploiters in the past, for she followed @blueollis and I as we came near and was protective of the others around her, and here were others who were less actively protective who still had their horns. I can’t help but feel that when we look upon her and the spaces where once were her horns, where once was more of her, that we are bearing witness to the marks of her struggle, the marks of her resistance. It is a stark reminder of who we are working to help. Yes, we are fighting for our futures, fighting to help reduce the overall negative fallout of this climate emergency, but we are also fighting for the individuals who are suffering so needlessly because of humans. Their lives are important. Their lives have intrinsic value. They need fundamental rights that are enshrined by law. We need to ensure that they have this. Acknowledge their rebellion. Take your rebellion to the streets. Tonight I will leave you with this mantra of liberation from @mobiusloopmusic : ‘May all beings be, free from slavery. May every cage be, open and empty.’
Hello. To let you in on a secret: I don’t really know what I’m doing here and I wonder whether a lot of people have that same feeling about themselves and their online presence. It’s clear to me that I want to create content to help educate and inspire people to take action, but I also want to express my thoughts, emotions and creativity as well as various experiences I have, and maybe all of this can combine...but I feel like I haven’t worked that out fully yet. There are over 6000 of you here and I want to make sure your decision to follow what I do is valued in the community here we’re creating. At the moment I post sporadically and the reason for this is how I distribute the energy I have between the actions I take as well as an ebb and flow of my creativity. This I think will change soon. I have a lot to work out about how to go forward but I am honoured that a lot of you are here be a part of that. So, thank you. What do you want to see from my platforms? Drop me a message here or dm me, and just let me know. . 📸: @blueollis 💙
sat in a cafe. local eggs hit me in the face from the shelf on the far wall. next to the kale and hummus crisps, next to the laughing kids and grandparents. the cafe owner is sincere and busy, there’s truth in their actions, but violence too. local eggs. local violence. forgotten? normalised. fed. children eat. children weep. children learn. food. tears. violence. these are things that should not be so tied. these are things that hold me here. these are things that rest upon lies that do no good. these are things that should shake us, but we make us fake ignorance. the way we hold our lies shapes us. the force-fed, knife-led pretence of ‘local’ marketing means only that we fund violence in our neighbourhood, the lies can be dropped. there’s space for them on the floor. local eggs. smashed. fed back to whom they were taken from. see them. the exploited. the used. the locally-abused. locally-used. Mothers of another species kept locally at a distance to the products humans consume. Mothers of another species embedded into the fabric of the lies humans weave. not that all humans complicit are deliberately lying, but that those who force the lie are left to roll it out to fake-shade the masses. seems appealing when fear of the light of the truth is your motivator. when the fear of the truth that the planet is warming is your motivator. when terror of acknowledging the suffering of the nonhuman mass - no matter how ‘local’ - is your motivator. sat in a cafe. screams. Hock burns. Eyes wide. Feathers fly. Bodies bred to be oversized. Beaks slashed off. Mouths dry. Locally designed, deliberate theriocide. No more lies. . (read more about theriocide In the 2nd - 5th slides).
We neglect to recognise the worlds of nonhumans at the peril of all. We destroy their lives, at the peril of all. We exploit them and kill them and steal from them, at the peril of all. We are reckless in our pursuit of power and money, at the peril of all. We reject the science, at the peril of all. We tear apart the rest of the world and the majority of its inhabitants, at the peril of all. The time when it will be too late save billions of lives is not coming, for it has already passed. Billions of nonhumans have died and are dying. The sounds we recognise as that of the natural world are growing faint, and what is replacing it are sounds of fires burning, the earth tearing open, waters flooding and nonhuman and human animals crying out. But, there are those we can help. There is time to still act. So take action and make it so that the world we are falling into is one that will benefit all as much as is possible, not just serving the few. Join the animal rights movement, join @animal_rebellion and take action for that world today. This photo was taken at the brilliant sanctuary that is @bfas.org.uk -✌🏻SUPPORT SANCTUARIES✌🏻
This individual is safe from further exploitation and unnecessary harm from humans who are rewarded in our society for doing those things. Let’s create a world in which no society rewards unnecessary violence. Let’s create a world in which no society normalises this violence. Let’s create a world in which all beings are free. A vegan world is essential and possible. Create it. Photo taken at @friendfarmanimalsanctuary ✌🏻
Do you feel it stirring inside you? Can you feel it? In your chest. It’s a rising pain. A rising panic. A rising anger. A rising urge to action. It hits you as you sit in the coffee shop. It hits as you sit at the bus stop. It hits you as walk to work. It hits you as you lay in bed. In the darkening hours and in the light. Your friends are putting their bodies on the line for it. People you may never know are sacrificing their liberty for it. Like the fires of the Amazon, it is spreading. Like the death toll of activists, it is rising. Like the tears and blood of the oppressed, it is spilling. Like the oceans and the rivers, it is flooding into the homes of ordinary people. But that is a lie. There are no ordinary people. There are those who act, those who watch and those who hide. All will feel it. It is only a matter of time. But we know it will be too late if we wait for everyone to act. We know this because for some, no, for many, many it is already too late. Rage and fury and tears and blood at the burning of this world for a few rich few. Bravery can fall short of success if the many still watch or hide whilst the few act. The times when you must scream and shout but you hold it and resign to the mind those sounds of agony. The times when you see the bodies and you see your earthlings struggle. The times when you hear an echoing, tortured earth rupturing the fabric of our conditioning. The times when you feel it. Feel it. Act. Upon. it. Scream. Shout. Type. Speak. Write. Share. Cry. Hug. Rebel. Witness. Move. Document. Support. Help. Help. Help. Help. Help.

THIS IS VIOLENCE. This horse has not consented to this. The humans here have disregarded this. They consider this treatment to be fine and were willing to aggressively defend their exploitation of this individual. No one should be subject to this. Imagine being forced to drag equipment and humans around in the heat all day, imagine being surround be loud noises and quick sudden movements all day, imagine being ‘broken in’ to be made subservient to other humans. There is no need for this. End this. Stop using animals. Live vegan, and take action to stop this violence.
We do not see them. This is Bob. They are achy and their bones are sore. But their spirit is young and they want to run. We do not see them. @blueollis and I looked after Bob for a while. During the woods walks they came alive. We do not see them. They would run and jump and chase and in their face, joy. It is your choice whether you deny that acknowledgement of joy. We do not see them. How do we see joy in other human animals, when they do not speak? We do not see them. How is it we know human joy and maybe dog joy but see this as a frivolous thought, with no thought beyond? We do not see them. What would thought beyond look like? Would it look like pig joy? Cow joy? Chicken joy? Would it look like sanctuaries? We do not see them. There’s a space for the nonhuman animals as more than the constricted beings we fake-make them into. We do not see them. That space is, has and always will be their space. Human thoughts or actions cannot change this. We do not see them. Bob is there now. They are running. They are free. There the minds of the exploited are untouchable to the exploiters. We do not see them. For we can kill them. We can take from them. We can force them to do things they never would want to do. But they are strong and have never been lessened by us. We do not see them. They fight and they struggle. Recognise this. Recognise their world. Recognise them. Help them. We could. . . . 📸: @blueollis 💙

Make way for the nonhuman animals. . 📸: @blueollis 💙
Today, @blueollis and I saw this little being flying by a busy road, almost get hit by a vehicle and then land on the road with more vehicles approaching. They seemed shaken up so we quickly helped them to safety away from the road. We can have a relationship with other animals that is far better, far more harmonious than the relationship the majority of our species currently has with other animals. As I’ve become vegan, I do feel that there has been a growing awareness in me of the other animals around me, and I believe this be an inevitable part of the process of unlearning speciesism. When I went vegan, there was (and still is) pain in the awareness of the suffering that I learnt about, but I feel more connected to the world of nonhumans now more than ever and I want to use that to help them more. We can do so much good. Let’s support each other, look out for each other and change this world. Let all be just. . 📸: @blueollis 💙
Respect nonhuman animals. Don’t cut their throats, steal their kids, gas them, stab them, burn them, kick them, exploit them, cage them, hit them, take from them, suffocate them, eat them. And don’t pay for this to happen to them. Reject systems of exploitation. Live vegan and join the animal rights movement. #antispeciesist #respect #turkeys #nonhumanrights
A morning earlier this year, with @sussexanimalsave . Bearing witness to nonhuman animals who are taken into a slaughterhouse in the Sussex, UK, countryside. We raised a sign that highlights to passersby that this is a place of killing. Watch the full video via my bio link to see the reactions of the public to our actions that day and to join us in bearing witness to the individuals I documented entering the slaughterhouse.
Innocent baby cows. Taken, isolated and exploited. That is only one small part of the #DairyIndustry. Other parts involve the brutal killing of other babies, the forcible impregnation of female cows, the forced arousal of male cows in order to take their semen, the killing of ‘spent’ dairy mothers, the RSPCA APPROVED blunt-object-assisted killing of a baby who is still alive when cut out of their hanging, dead ‘spent’ mother at the slaughterhouse. The list of absolute violations goes on and on. No #dairy can ever be humane. Leave it behind you. Help create a world in which all beings are free.
