Hey everyone and welcome to another Leif lesson. My name is Leif and I suppose you're here because you want to learn how to V-sit. Just like this. Check it out... So I have two exercises for you to practice on, to get into this. It’s going to be Navasana and Lolasana. So first in Navasana, which is the boat pose, you want to work on getting a straight back, activating your core, make sure you bring in those ribs so your whole core is activated. You’re going to lift up your legs, you can keep them at 90°, stretch them all the way out, use your hands to help or not. And the second exercise is Lolasana, which is the Pendant pose. So basically make your body into a tiny little ball, make sure to bring your feet in and flex them, hands down and try to lift yourself up off the mat. Alright, thanks for watching and good luck! As yoga doesn’t really have ways of practicing “pulling” movements I like to supplement with pull ups and chin ups. In that way I get to work out the biceps and traps. I love doing them slowly to really feel the muscles contracting. What about you? Hi guys my name is Leif and I've put together a little video here for those of you who might be interested in learning how to do the splits. Now it's really pretty simple... You basically just have to do the splits a lot and stay in the position for a long time, preferably a few minutes each time. Now here I'm starting in Prasarita Paddottanasana, which is the wide legged forward fold. So just spread your legs, bring your hands down to the ground and then work on moving those hips towards the mat or the floor. Try to keep the soles of your feet down on the ground the whole time as well and yeah just keep relaxing those inner thighs and moving your hips downwards. Hi guys, my name is Leif and here is a great exercise to work on floating forward and for your handstands. Now what you want to do is place the balls of your feet on a towel or blanket. Get into a high plank, focus on your hands, wrists, arms, shoulders and your core. Make sure you’re rotating the triceps backwards. Bring your legs forward and then you’re gonna take a break by bending the knees coming down. Repeat this exercise 5 to 10 times take a little break and then repeat 2 to 3 more times. Your energy flows where your mind goes 🧘‍♂️ FOR HANDSTAND PRACTICE: Try adding Crane & Crow pose into your routine. Great for building strength and control for your handstands. Try to hold the pose for as long as you can and repeat a few times. But watch those wrists..! You shouldn’t have ANY pain. If you do, try grabbing the floor even more with your fingers and move your weight further forward into your hands (and out of the heels of the hands).
