October continued to show strong signs of the market gaining steam again. Total sales for the month were almost 10% above the 10-year average, and it looks like the bottom of the market has come and gone. Many people who have been on the sidelines seem to be getting active again. I had 2 clients miss out on properties last week alone – both which ended up selling over asking and in multiple offers with no subjects.

A friendly reminder—I will be participating for the second consecutive year in the BC Ride to Conquer Cancer. This two-day event takes me and my bicycle from Vancouver to Hope, and with your help will raise much-needed money for the BC Cancer Foundation. I, like most, have had people close to me impacted by cancer. Fortunately, I have seen first hand some incredible and courageous recoveries against this disease. Witnessing these survivors go on to become incredible leaders and advocates against this disease has been amazing to watch. The inspiration for my Ride comes from the many wonderful people on the Riders for Ryders Team, who to date have raised over $3,700,000 to help fight the war against Cancer. Most notably is Team Founder Jimi Brockett, who I now call a colleague and a friend, and has helped to create such an incredible movement that I felt I needed to become a part of.
