And there is no greater feeling than doing pull-ups…like a GIRL!⚡️ . I learned to do pull-ups thanks to the help of my friend & trainer Tai, so here is a little tutorial for all of you #badass women out there! . First of all, start by placing the palms away from you with a wide grip. Then focus on your lats, because it’s their job to bring you up. . 1️⃣.Use resistance bands: Fasten a band onto the pull up bar, place your knee in the pull up band and complete controlled assisted pull up reps without swaying back and forth. 2️⃣.Machine assisted push-up: Grasp the bar with an overhand grip, shoulder width apart. Keeping your body (and back!) straight, contract your lats to pull yourself up. Release to full arm extension and repeat for the number of reps. 🇮🇹⤵️ • 👉🏼 How do YOU stay motivated? . I get asked this so many times and the truth is that I workout because I honestly LOVE to and not because I see it as a chore! I think that makes a huge difference: when you have to DO something, you will easily find excuses, but if you actually enjoy it, you will look forward to that hour at the gym! And that’s me when it comes to training: it’s my ME TIME 🙌🏻💛! . So despite focusing on the aesthetic goals, start by finding a training routine that is fun, because fun is something you can easily stick to! . I changed my workouts so many times and that is what makes it exciting! I started with high intensity circuit training and I ADORED building up my endurance! I now do weightlifting and I’m IN LOVE with the strength I’ve built. At the end of the day, it’s about how working out makes me feel inside 🙌🏻💪🏼 : strong, confident and empowered! The outside is just a reflection of the light I have inside 🙌🏻⚡️!!! . So shine bright ✨ and do what you love fiercely 🔥👊🏼! ... 🇮🇹Molti mi chiedono come faccia ad essere così costante, la verità è che io non vedo l’allenamento come un dovere ma piuttosto come un piacere. It’s World Kindness Day 🤗💓 and it’s one of my favorie day of the year {after Christmas 🎄 and my birthday 🎂 😂}, because I am firm believer that the world 🌍 would be such a better place if we all took the time to be KIND with one another. . Envy, rivalry, uncaring: these words are NOT part of my vocabulary! On the other hand, I consider myself compassionate, sympathetic, empathetic and KIND. 💛 I was just taught from my parents to always smile and be a GOOD PERSON. Sometimes people take advantage of it 🤦🏻‍♀️, but I am geniunly good at heart ❤️ and I am very proud of it. I’m the type of friend you can wake up in the middle of the night because you need someone to talk to. ❓Is eating healthy possible when traveling? . Indeed! ✌🏼 When I travel for work, I try to eat as healthy as I can, but you know... buffets... 😬 so what I tend to do is to opt for healthy breakfasts and lunches and then treat myself for dinner without overeating. . 👉🏼 How? Super simple: breakfasts is the easiest meal because you can opt for oatmeal with fruit and scrambled eggs or plain yogurt with fruit and granola. Cereal can often be full of processed sugars, so I read the labels carefully and luckily I always tend to find @kashi ‘s original which contains 12 gr of plant based protein and only 8gr of sugar per serving! I also love to change my carbs sources and often go with whole grain bread with nut butter! When it’s time for lunch, salad 🥗 is my answer! Don’t forget to include a protein source and avoid the fatty dressings: just go with fresh lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil! . Throughout the day, I like to snack on fruit, yogurt, veggies and nuts. Just like I would at home 🏡 ! . And when dinner comes, it’s show time 😂❤️! I always start with a big salad rich in fiber, and then just opt for what I desire. Yesterday for example I had a big salad with grilled chicken and a slice of cheese pizza cause who says no to pizza?! The day before I had roasted chicken with sautéed veggies and shared french fries & cheesecake with my colleagues. It’s really only a matter of balance! 😎✌🏼 . When I’m home, I treat myself during the weekends because that’s when I usually go out or simply have more time in the kitchen 👩🏻‍🍳 . But when I travel for work or for pleasure, I treat myself more often because those moments will not come back, and an extra treat or 2 (or maybe 10!😬✌🏼) will not ruin my progress! . So just be mindful of your entire day of eating and remember that portion control is crucial to not overeat! . 👉🏼 Would it be useful if I shared an example of #whatieatinaday while traveling? ❤️

✈️💪🏼 Traveling and staying active & healthy – part 1. . If you travel often, you might live the struggle of keeping up with your healthy habits. While you surely need to be flexible and willing to change your routine, it’s not impossible to maintain your healthy way of life. As promised, I will be answering to as many of your questions as I can… so let’s start! . ❓ “Do you workout when you travel?” Of course🤙🏼! Working out is part of my weekly habits, and most of all it’s something that I enjoy doing. If you have been following me for a while, you know I like to hit the gym very early before work, when it’s still dark outside, so I just keep my morning routine going. I’m usually up by 6am and at the gym by 6:30am. I don’t have time for breakfast, so I just have my espresso as pre-workout. I then have a nutritious meal rich in protein and carbs, and some hearty fats, post-workout. When I’m home, I also have ½ scoop of whey isolate for muscle recovery & growth, but since my workout is less strenuous when traveling, I decided not to have my protein powder this week. . While at home I hit the gym 6 times a week, when traveling I just go when my schedule allows it. Generally, I try to have at least 3 workout sessions in a week and keep myself very active throughout the day, keeping my NEAT high: the energy expenditure that comes from non-exercise activity that actually has a remarkable impact on our metabolic rate! But if something comes up, it’s fine… remember: BALANCE IS THE KEY! . When it comes to the type of workout, I just get creative with what the location offers. Sometimes I have the coolest gym with the fanciest equipment, other times I have minimal tools and so I just go with circuits! This is the case this week, so I am going with cables, dumbbells and resistance bands! But don’t get me wrong, I still get a good sweat in, it’s just a different type of “sweat”! Back home, I am currently weightlifting 4 times a week and doing LISS twice a week, and while I miss a good heavy weights sesh, I always love the energy of high intensity workouts! . 👉🏼 So here’s my answer to your first question! Please never enter the gym thinking “hey, let me burn that hamburger 🍔 I just ate”, because that’s a very unhealthy approach towards fitness and you are just being unkind to your own body. Please cherish your body and work on the relationship with your own self. . I am so grateful for what my body is capable of, for the way it moves and for the incredible opportunities it gives me to challenge it. . Working out is about self-empowerment and that is why I love to train my clients. I hope that through my guidance, I can help them love and accept their bodies, not because they are perfect but because they have learned to understand its limits and yet, they have accepted them with power. . I am in no way perfect, but I love myself and I want to take care of my amazing body, because yes, it’s UNBELIEVABLE. ❤️ ... 🇮🇹 Non allenarti per bruciare le calorie “in più”. Non andare in palestra perché hai mangiato quella fetta di torta al cioccolato 🍫 che “non avresti dovuto toccare”. Credimi, è solo quando ho compreso che l’allenamento non era una forma di punizione che sono diventata davvero la versione migliore di me. 💛🙌🏻 . Potermi allenare è una benedizione ed apprezzo ogni giorno le infinite possibilità che il mio corpo mi da per metterlo alla prova. Lo sport è VITA. Il fitness è il modo attraverso cui mi prendo cura di me stessa.
