heyyyyy y’all it’s been a minute 😅 vacation + moving + final academic semester of grad school + summer in atx = social media on the back burner. anyway, i got three miles in this morning and it was so. dang. hot. i need to start waking up earlier if i’m going to continue running outside. happy thursday!!!
six miles in this morning 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️ this was my farthest run since the marathon over a month ago!!! it felt really good and i finalllyyyyy got a runner’s high again. i think a combination of poor weather and burnout from training led me to a string of not so great runs.... glad to be feeling better though 💪🏼 happy friday, friends!
long time no post 👋🏼👋🏼 i’ve had bronchitis for the last ten days or so so exercising hasn’t been a priority for me for the past few days. i’m finally on some medicine and feeling better today so i decided to head downtown to hit my favorite trail for a few miles 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏼♀️ got four miles in on this beautiful sunny afternoon. happy tuesday, friends!
i got three glorious outdoor miles in today 🙌🏼 it was my first outdoor run since the marathon so i went without headphones to be able to really enjoy all of the aspect of the run. it’s finally warming up in Austin so i’m going to make the most of these spring-like days before the hundred degree weather hits again! happy friday eve!
y’all, i ran yesterday!!! i haven’t been in the mood for running since my marathon but yesterday while i was doing homework i was craving a good run (or maybe i just didn’t wanna do homework anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). either way, i took my butt to the gym and got a great three miles in on the treadmill. ideally i’d have run outside but it’s been soooooo cold in austin the past few days, like less that 30 degrees... what’s up with that??! i’m thinking another run/homework break will be on my schedule today... stay tuned. happy tuesday, friends!
happy #medalmonday !! man, i am really feeling that run yesterday. my legs are KILLING me. on the plus side, i’ve been more active today then i ever was the day after my past two marathons. i’m going to be taking a lil break from running for awhile, but i’ll post here with my other workouts/yummy eats/life updates whenever i feel like it. happy monday, friends!
flat kristina is all ready for marathon number three! it’s shaping up to be warmer than i have been training in, but i’ve been hydrating the last few days and i’m not too worried. i’ve planned out where i’ll (hopefully) see my dad and jesse tomorrow so i know where to look for them. we’ve got a fun plan to watch the MSU basketball game after the race so i’m excited for that. i just gotta get through 26.2 miles first. happy saturday, friends!
i look like such a doof in this photo (and dear god growing out bangs is a painfully awkward process), but i went to the marathon expo today! picked up my packet and a few (free) goodies before heading home. my excitement for this race is getting stronger with every minute!!!!! happy friday, friends!
ATX finally got some sun after sixteen days of overcast skies 🙌🏼 last speed session of this training cycle ☑️ !!! i have definitely been more consistent with my speed work for this marathon than both of my previous marathons. workout today was 6x400 with a one miles warm up and cool down. i can’t believe the marathon is only five days away!!!
marathon training week 16: ☑️ thirteen v hilly miles in the books for today. i’m pretty happy with how this run went and am getting excited to run another marathon in a couple of weeks. luckily, i looooove lowering my miles so i am very much looking forward to continuing this taper. happy saturday, friends!
79.4 total miles for january, which is pretty good since i haven’t been too excited about running recently (my 22 miler changed that!). and yes, i know hamilton doesn’t have anything to do with running BUT i saw it for the second time on the ninth and it was amazing and it’s the only memorable photo i have from january ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
five easy early morning treadmill miles before a heccttttiiccc day. it’s only the third week of school and we’ve got something like nine or ten assignments due???!! no thank you! luckily i’m done with most of them but still have a long way to go on the one i have left, so i’ll be spending most of my day working on that. only. one. more. day. til. the. weekend. marathon training week 15: ☑️ i’m feeling really good about today’s run! i made sure to stick with my pace group today so i didn’t burn myself out like i did on my last twenty mile run. at the end of this one i definitely feel like i could have knocked out 4.2 more miles. this run has me cautiously optimistic about a PR... 🤔 happy saturday friends!
four tempo miles this afternoon after class with an average pace of 9:08/mile. i’m pretty happy with how my speedwork and tempo runs have been going the past few weeks. on saturday i’ve got a looooooong run planned (22 miles!) so i’m starting to mentally prepare myself for that. i can’t believe the marathon is less than four weeks away!!!!! happy thursday, friends!
