Have you ever told your prayer and sat around and waited, only for too much time (in your opinion) to go by and then you move onto the next, thinking He didn’t hear you? Guilty 🖐🏻 He heard you. He just had to clear some stuff first, that’s all. But one thing that still resonates with me from a few weeks ago is this: if you are not grateful for what you do have, what makes you think He will give you more? Do you wake each day with a grateful heart? Do you tend to all your responsibilities or do you wait for them to go away? Asking for more won’t make life magically better. There’s always a reason you are where you are at. And sometimes it to teach you patience. God is good always!! 🙏🏻 Stay faithful and TRUST. #godisgood #newnew #purpose

BREAKING DOWN FAT When you are not eating, your body is not absorbing food. If your body is not absorbing food, there is little insulin in the blood. However, your body is always using energy; and if you're not absorbing food, this energy must come from internal stores of complex carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Under these conditions, various organs in your body secrete hormones: pancreas - glucagon pituitary gland - growth hormone pituitary gland - ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone) adrenal gland - epinephrine (adrenaline) thyroid gland - thyroid hormone These hormones act on cells of the liver, muscle and fat tissue, and have the opposite effects of insulin. When you are not eating, or you are exercising, your body must draw on its internal energy stores. Your body's prime source of energy is glucose. In fact, some cells in your body, such as brain cells, can get energy only from glucose. The first line of defense in maintaining energy is to break down carbohydrates, or glycogen, into simple glucose molecules -- this process is called glycogenolysis. Next, your body breaks down fats into glycerol and fatty acids in the process of lipolysis. The fatty acids can then be broken down directly to get energy, or can be used to make glucose through a multi-step process called gluconeogenesis. In gluconeogenesis, amino acids can also be used to make glucose. In the fat cell, other types of lipases work to break down fats into fatty acids and glycerol. These lipases are activated by various hormones, such as glucagon, epinephrine and growth hormone. The resulting glycerol and fatty acids are released into the blood, and travel to the liver through the bloodstream. Once in the liver, the glycerol and fatty acids can be either further broken down or used to make glucose. Understand that if you starve your self in order to allow this process to happen , you will be also sacrificing your hard earned muscle too. Your body will not just use the fats and glucose only but use your proteins from your muscle cells too. So when you starve and begin to lose weight, you are also greatly eating away your muscle .. which is your support system . It gives you the shape and
Last workout before the surgery and I tried something a little different with my deadlifts. KB RDL with a band. This made me keep my hips back, focusing on the thrust at the top and feeling the burn. THE STRESS HORMONE CORTISOL AND BELLY FAT A lot of attention is being focused on cortisol levels and weight gain. Cortisol is a hormone in the body that increases sugars in the bloodstream, increasing the availability of substances that repair tissues and enhances the brain’s use of glucose. When people feel anxiety, the hypothalamus sends signals to the adrenal glands to release adrenaline and cortisol. However, when people feel a lot of day-to-day stress, the fight-or-flight reaction of the body to stress stays active, and cortisol continues to release sugars into the bloodstream. Besides heart disease, digestive problems, sleep problems, skin issues and memory problems, one of the side effects of high cortisol levels is weight gain. Cortisol Levels and Weight Gain When people feel stress and anxiety on an everyday basis, the body continuously releases adrenaline and cortisol into the blood stream. Adrenaline dissipates when anxiety starts to wane; however, cortisol lingers in the body and increases the desire for people to eat more carbohydrates to compensate for physical exertion. The body is programmed anachronistically to fight off stress and danger like our ancestors did with physical activity. But because most people today do not physically burn off extra energy after being affected by stress, increased carbohydrate cravings and carbohydrate consumption from lingering cortisol levels usually cause weight gain. Weight gain from increased cortisol levels tends to collect around the stomach area. Fat cells in the stomach are more sensitive to cortisol, and they are very effective at storing energy. Unfortunately, weight gain in the stomach area is one of the most dangerous places for the body to store fat. Stomach fat is not only unattractive, it can also lead to many serious health conditions like diabetes, metabolic syndrome and heart disease. ⭐️ Practice Mindfulness ⭐️ Mindfulness is about being fully aware of whatever is happening in the present moment, without filters or judgement. "Mind is the forerunner of all...conditions. Mind is chief; and they are mind-made" Meaning paying attention to, or being mindful of, your own.... continued below..
Reshare: @she_speakz_life 👣 God gave YOU the vision. You can't expect them to see it nor understand it. (Although it'd be nice.) Be prepared to make the journey alone if need be. The assignment is the assignment. Please don't tell God you couldn't complete it because "they" wouldn't walk with you.
Oh Geeze! Another selfie at the doctors office, I knoooowww. But I have a message for you.... If you think you’re the only one feeling lost and alone, you’re not. If you think you’re fighting an uphill battle, you’re not. If it feels like life keeps kicking your tail and there’s no way out, there is. Over the last several months I have been on my knees, hysterically praying for God to show me WHY!? Why was he challenging me every single day? Why did he keep placing these obstacles in front of me over and over again? Wasn’t I living like he has asked me to? The truth was, I wasn’t and I still don’t 100% of the time. But I see WHY I faced so many battles... it was because I thought I had to do it alone. I’m no longer drowning. My faith is stronger than ever. Instead of “how am I going to do this?” I ask “let’s see how you do this Lord.” Pray like there’s no tomorrow and then pray again. You don’t have to do this alone. Stay faithful and know he is always with you. Prayers going up for me please as I have my third and final surgery. 🤗🌟🤗 #heiswithme #iamforgiven #godisgood #IamCoachD #pray #praysomemore #humbleyourself #keepyourheadup #prayingkneesdown #yourenotalone #stayfaithful
From my recent observations of being a divorce, straight into a serious relationship and then alone again... and I mean truly alone. Nobody to text at night, no good morning beautiful, nada... this has to be one of the most freeing experiences. Because if we cannot be whole alone, how can we give our best parts to our partner without the neediest details?😘 I used to be so busy trying to fill my time that I never slowed down long enough to see what I liked or what I wanted in life. I knew who I was but I also knew I was co-dependent on my partner. How could I stand on my own two feet alone?! Easy, with God and faith. That alone has quieted my mind and allowed me to fully come into the person I was meant to be. I no longer seek the outside validation of men, but the inside power of my own thoughts and prayers. Sit down. Clear your mind. Erase all self doubt. Manifest. Breathe. Smile. Life is so beautiful!!! We all have the power to choose how we want it to look. But until you can be whole alone, you’ll never be enough for someone else and they won’t ever be enough for you.... what you’re seeking is inside you already. Xo, Coach D 💋
