I spend a LOT of time thinking about the mistakes I made - especially ones when I was much younger. It’s something I’m working on... A good thing that has come out of those mistakes, though, is how conscientious I try to be now. I can’t change the past, but I can be absolutely sure I’d never repeat it.
Today marks Year 2 of me living in Long Beach! When I made the decision to come here, it was based on a ‘feeling’ that didn’t quite make sense with my life at the time. I’m happy to say I trusted myself, and in return, the city exceeded my expectations in every way. 🌴☀️
I will ALWAYS be grateful for this city and Yogalution’s daily free yoga. I used to be so fearful and avoidant of yoga because of my limitations due to chronic illness, but after attending regularly, I’ve found so much healing and happiness! 🧡🧡
In psych, we call it ‘homeostasis’. People will do almost anything to maintain the same vibe they were raised with because ALL of your comfort and coping knowledge stems from surviving in that state. As adults, it’s up to us to change that pattern, but doing so isn’t easy. Take it one day at a time and do your best to not judge yourself for falling back into comfortability. 🧡🧡
😩 Good morning ☀️🧡💕 @mr.sortosclass
