A #TBT to those Cancun days... and a shout out to my parents πŸ‘‰ These two right here just evacuated their house in coastal North Carolina with their coolers of food, clothes and 2 dogs ❀ It's been a stressful week for them trying to figure out what to do and where to go... not to mention worrying about the aftermath of #Florence. Through it all my mom remains to be one of the most positive people I've ever known. Sometimes it's hard to find the positive in situations or see the glass as half full... especially when you feel like the deck is stacked against you. Couples who eat together stay together ❀ I know, I know... life gets crazy, stressful and chaotic. How in the world are you going to make time for YOU to relax and eat a meal much less try to eat with your significant other who is probably on some different meal plan than you are... not to mention the kids you have to feed, the workout you want to get in, the after school activities (you get the picture πŸ˜€) Food is more than fuel for the body. Do what ya can with what ya got πŸ‘‰ That's typically my motto when it comes to hotel gym workouts πŸ’ͺOften times hotels will be very limited on machines, dumbbells, stability balls, bands, cables and cardio equipment... so limited on everything basically πŸ˜‚ I try to plan upper body days on travel days because I find they are "easier" to do in a hotel gym (as opposed to a heavy leg day). I also utilize different rep ranges and variables depending on the size dumbbells available (iso-holds and burnout sets are great for lighter weight dumbbells)πŸ‘ Below are some exercises I did for my shoulder & core day while on tha road πŸ‘‡ - - 1. DB alternating upright rows 2. DB alternating military presses 3. DB lateral raises w/ an iso-hold *I also did pushups, alternating front raises, T raises and core work (not shown in videos) πŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺ
