Shavasana with my sweet Calvin @babycalvinandfamily ... what an experience the process of giving birth was! a lot of you ask me how it went and I have to say yoga helped me a lot ... I taught until the last day of my pregnancy with no problems... His exact due date was August 7 and I ended up giving birth Saturday 13th of July 3 weeks early... I lost a bit of water on Friday 12th and I went to the clinic to check and they tested for amniotic fluid and told me it wasn’t that ... so I went back home but my gynecologist told me to go that Saturday morning to do a monitoring to check the baby’s heart just in case .... So Saturday 9am they started to monitor him and they checked again for amniotic fluid and this time they realized that I was losing some slowly by slowly and that they had to induce me... mentally I wasn’t prepared to stay at the clinic that day so I panicked a bit ... first time in my whole pregnancy I started to feel contractions I didn’t have any this entire time my Gynecologist told me usually when they induce it could take 24 h or 48 h before the baby comes so I was preparing for a long labor... the product that they induced me with reacted so fast and so strong that the contractions were so violent I couldn’t contrôle my breath ... it felt like someone was hitting me in the chest really hard so couldn’t inhale ... I wanted to try natural birth but at this point I asked for the epidural really the smallest amount possible ... the cool thing about that is as soon as they did it I stoped feeling the crazy pain but still felt the contractions, my legs and everything else just not the crazy pain ... the product worked on me so fast that from 11am when I did the epidural and was open at 2cm by 3pm I was open at 10 with baby coming .... it was so magical because all I needed was 2 pushes as I was feeling my abs and everything else and baby Calvin was there at 4:11pm .... for a first birth I couldn’t dream for a better outcome I’ll do a full article on my blog with more details 🤰👶

Hey guys today is the international yoga day so a very special day for me ... I want to share some thoughts with you. I have been practicing yoga for almost 20 years now and when I look back it has helped me so much in my artistic career ( singer , dancer , writer musician... ) it’s never easy to deal with an industry where everyone is expecting from you to be perfect and always on top of the game ... it’s always a roller coaster of emotions where you feel the highs and lows really deep in your soul ... a bit more then 2 years ago I started to work with @oysho @oysho_sport and recently became their world wide ambassador. Yesterday I got invited by @mayteafrance to talk about my way to recharge my batteries... there are so many ways for exemple we talked about Meditation ( through breathing techniques or mantras ) meditation that directly impacts our nervous system by reducing the body's production of stress-related chemicals such as cortisol.
